Republicans: How Has Trump Made Your Life Better?

uhh hua.....tell us more about your great messiah Obama and all the ways he made your life the best ever. :)

For me, personally, under the Obama administration I had recently gotten too old for KCHIP, and the medicare expansion under Obamacare in the state of Ky combined with the BIA insurance completely covered me, and allowed me to have a bunch of necessary medical procedures I was putting off including but not limited to- precancer screenings (I had had bone cancer as a child and once my KCHIP ran out I had a copay that I couldn't afford to have checkups for this. When you have bone cancer you don't get cured, you just go into remission. It can come back at any time.) eye exams and a new pair of glasses to replace the ones I had had, at that point, for four years, dental care, prescription drug coverage, psychiatric healthcare that allowed me to confirm my childhood diagnoses, get a SHITTON of therapy, medication to fix my chemical imbalance, which before that I had just been letting go, which, predictably, made me crazy, REAL drug rehab so I didn't have to go to NA and methadone clinics and pretend that was doing anything- and allowed me to get my fucking life together. I genuinely was in a really bad place, and if those programs didn't exist? I'd probably be straight-up dead. Some people here knew me when I was going through this, and can attest to it.

Additionally, this new coverage covered my girlfriend during her pregnancy, and allowed us to bring a healthy, happy baby into the world. Afterwards, I went back to school on a grant program that was put into place by the Obamas specifically to help recovering addicts, but did receive additional support from a variety of programs stretching all the way back to the 1970s.

Though the program I used to get my cell at the time was actually began under the Regan administration, the Obama administration expanded it to cover cell phones, not just home phones.

I got my electricity using a 'payback' program for green energy and now I don't have to pay the power company one red cent because my house is completely off the grid. This was a program, again, instigated by the Obama administration.

I worked as an accountant at the time (the company I worked for paid for my schooling and I paid for my certification out-of-pocket. Barry didn't do that for me) and I can say that I was pretty happy with the tax code. The EIC and child tax credits had both been expanded to help low-income and middle-class families- and though I certainly did have some underlying skill, I can't help but think that the numerous credits to take advantage of helped me get more clients, referrals, and overall make more money to support myself and my growing family.

Barry wasn't perfect, but dude did a lot for me, personally. And I don't forget the people who helped me. You're never going to find a "perfect" political candidate. But if you want to know how he personally helped me? It literally changed my life. I was a strung-out druggie in rural Appalachia. These programs were almost tailor made for my exact situation. That administration did a HELL of a lot more for me than homeboy Mitch did- and I will NEVER forget that. The fact that he actively worked against me, and he was supposed to be the one fighting for me, is going to sit with me for the rest of my life.

I'm bumping because I genuinely would like to hear other people's stories. I want to know how the Trump administration helped you, personally. I know this is considered a weird stance to take on this site, but I genuinely enjoy people seeing positive results if it's something worth celebrating. I've not had anything positive arise in the past couple years- it's been rough. Bring out some more positivity, guys.

I could say the same thing about Obamacare + Medicaid in NJ.

Also: extending unemployment benefits after the meltdown, while the Rs who caused it fought tooth and nail to cut it off.

Also: the Recovery. I saw it in real time. Got laid off and couldn't find work for the longest time. Absolutely NOTHIN. I scoured the job boards daily and watched them come back.

Two siblings of mine were able to buy a house thanks to his matching funds or whatever they were.

He killed Osama bin Laden --> directly affected everyone's life.

How has the Orange Fuckwad "directly" affected my life:

--His sabotage of Obamacare got me kicked off. Luckily NJ has the Medicaid option, no thanks to the Orange Fuckwad

--The Price of EVERYTHING keeps going up and up and up

--Check back in a few years when drinking water is full of mercury and cars are spewing exhaust again

In all truth Trump is just a bag of air. He holds no water to what he says. The supporters of Trump live in their own little universe. Trump hasn't made anyone's life better at all. Just wait till he attacks the ACA full force to repeal it. Trump and the Senate undermined the U.S. Supreme Court making it a kangaroo court with accused rapist Kavanaugh. Trump has divided America and has scandal after scandal. Where are Obama's scandal's? That's right he didn't have any and he DID help the people of America. Trump thinks you should be loyal to that orange asshole. If he wasn't as insecure as he is he wouldn't need rallies every fucking week. What "President" has rallies every week? That's right none of them as they didn't have fucking narcissistic minds like sociopath Trump. Trump has destroyed every agency in the Government, mocks disabled people. So NO he's not done one fucking thing except piss off and destroy America. Then puts a damn accused rapist on the Supreme Court to get his orange ass out of trouble. Anyone that likes Trump is a fucking idiot.

He made a lot of noise about Tariffs and increased some. However, this plus the Fed's interest rate policy has caused a sharp increase in the value of the US dollar thus substantially reducing any benefit from higher tariffs except at Treasury which will get more money from American Consumers.

However, as my small foreign company which largely operates overseas and services the US market, we will get more money for our exported services to the USA.

Though I don't think that was the original intention. :)

This is a prime example of the philosophical difference between democrats and republicans. Democrats believe the government should provide for them their healthcare, schooling, and their cheese. Republicans basically want government to get out of their way and have a kick ass m8litary.

So far only one actual answer to the question. A presumably better NAFTA-esque deal.

The rest is leftists poopooing on Trump, whataboutism and trolling filler.

As expected. Good ol' GB.

This post can be filed under trolling filler, by the way.

So you got more welfare.

See I didn't get shit, they took from me to give to you. The (D)'s just represent more loss, more oppression and more struggle for me.

Still waiting for all those amazing Trump stories.

Yours is one of the best!!!

In theory, both have been really bad about doing their jobs lately though.

I give Trump as much credit for things as I gave Obama. My life is like most, ups and downs. No reason to think one guy has any real impact on that. The government as a whole, sure but not the president no matter who it is.

Learn to read, retard. That answer was specifically excluded.

It's in the OP, BottomBoy so quit being a weasel you little twink.

Oh look. Another lefty calling someone stupid. One would think if the lefties were so smart, they would be perpetually in power. :)

Some are up to being free people in a free country, others enjoy the feel of a boot on their neck and like to live at the mercy of others.
