My thoughts:

Polls are crap when they look good for Dems, hard scientific fact when they look bad

Polls are crap when they look bad for Trump, "hard data" when they look good.

Nowhere did I say I agreed or disagreed with the poll OR the article. I only posted the link because it was related to something Comshaw and I had discussed slightly in this thread.

Then I backed it up with another source which seems to corroborate the poll/article based on more data and in-depth analysis.

There are other articles out there which come to different conclusions. BUT, they don't have any data to support those opinions. You can choose to believe them and dismiss the hard data if you wish.

You may not have, and I appreciate your response. I was responding to it, because I do think that terms like using "little girl" in this setting is loaded, and we can all work on being more mindful with our language.

I have certainly done it plenty in my life, growing up in the 70s-90s, and still catch myself when I hear it. I try to hold myself accountable to which slang is worthy of keeping and which is evidence of unnecessary bias and could be inappropriately hurtful or blind.

I especially hawk my own language and conversation for any use of a term that uses gender or persuasion as a negative, ie "sissy," "pussy," etc. The hardest one to lose is "cocksucker" as it's such an otherwise beautiful curse word. It has deeper implications however, that are important enough to ditch the word over. Not to mention, I have nothing but gratitude for those that have practiced the art with me, how did it become an insult/curse word? I LOVE cocksuckers.
