Kreepy Kavanaugh

It seems like all people really know or care about Judge Kavanaugh is what he allegedly did when he was 17, and his appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

I care about his lying NOW, including under oath; about his lack of controlled temperament NOW; about his most recent ruling stonewalling on a woman receiving the care the law guaranteed her just so he could fluff up his credentials for being picked by a vile man for the Supreme Court; about his own demeanor and mealy-mouthing that very well may hide that he is a mean alcoholic, has a gambling addiction, is still extremely political partisan, including a holder of sick conspiracy theories after 12 years as a federal (for all of us) judge; about what he has exhibited of an arrogant entitlement problem that impairs his judgment; and that he has exhibited as strongly misogynist.

He is following the path of all people in his position who, rather than dealing with past issues during the process and showing how he has gotten past them--or just not overreaching for power and position--chooses to lie and lie and lie about them.

You appear to be among those who are purposely not discussing beyond the 35-year-old problematic issue to hide what he is NOW, which is what is important here.

NOW, by not choosing the quiet private investigation route and trying to deal with real issues from his life and choosing instead to lie, lie, lie about them under oath and exhibiting his true nature in public hearings, Brett Kavanaugh has shown he doesn't deserve to continue in his current position (which he demonstrably lied about in those hearings) let along be given a lifetime job on the highest court in the land.

He and the Republicans have been arrogant for, in the words of the majority leader himself, pounding this through without a shred of scruples in doing so. I think it's likely he'll be confirmed. But I think he and the Republicans in Congress and the vile man in the White House have unnecessarily done themselves and the country serious damage in the process.

And I think that you and the other Trumpettes on the board are banging away on the sexual assault issue from 35 years ago to distract and deflect from the man's unsuitability for the job because of who he is and has shown himself to be NOW.

who in Trumps orbit has been involved with Russia illegally?

What I say is perfectly true, and you know it: In a confirmation hearing, as opposed to a criminal trial, the burden of proof should be on the accused, not the accuser. Kavanaugh's civil rights are not at stake here, only a potential job, in which the country has a far more important interest than he does. A SCOTUS justice, like Caesar's wife, must be above suspicion.

I've never heard anyone, in any context in the United States of America say that a burden of proof was on someone accused of something. How does one go about "proving" that something did not happen? How do you prove you did NOT do something". Basic logic says it does not work that way.

What details would you like?

When: late 70s
Where: A lake cottage
Who: yeah, like I'm going to name names.
One girl and multiple guys, all fairly well blotto.

Remember what forum this is. The desired details are of a far more . . . anatomical nature.

Of course you can't disprove what didn't happen -- but, if you cannot at least cast some serious credible doubt on the accusation, which Kavanaugh cannot, that alone is grounds for suspicion, therefore for disqualification.

Queef, as the pathetic cuckold he is, believes he is "worthy of derision as a human being." Hence, the above is just another case of #ProjectionAgain.

Your derision is a badge of honor, what with you being *you.*

How many women did you know in school? Rosy Palm

You asked an incomplete question. First, you failed to identify the school as a exclusively boy's school. How many girls should a guy going to an exclusively boy's high school know? And how would that come about? Which leads to the next question--what sort of crowd does one, as a rich, entitled boy, run with to bring meeting girls about? In this case, his best friend from the time has written a tell-all book on a hedonistic life of booze and sex (I haven't heard drugs mentioned, but, guess what, these are rich brats in the 80s). That book includes a boozer and stud by the name of Bart O'Kavanaugh. That's the crowd Brett Kavanaugh ran with in his rich boy's prep school.

Put this guy on TV then, saying he was a choir boy who was drinking legally (despite his long history of binge drinking before the age of 18, which he turned in 1982, after the drinking age had been lifted to 21) and that he was still a virgin "several years" after he left high school.

Moving along, put him at Yale, where says he didn't have a drinking problem and hordes of people who were there with him say he was a perpetual drunk, including his own roommate, whose testimony Kavanaugh then lies about in his congressional hearings.

The man lies on TV and under oath before Congress.

Sorry for your lack of intellectual capability if, as a job recruiter, you couldn't do the math.

Dems: Dr Ford deserves a hearing!
Republicans: Let’s have a hearing!
D’s: Bullies! This hearing is a sham!

D’s: We need an FBI investigation!
R’s: Ok we’ll have an FBI investigation.
D’s: This investigation is a farce!

The goalpost moving never stops.https://twitter.com/tomselliott/status/1046409897435430912?s=21

They were all on record opposing him before the first moment of the hearings. Nothing has changed. At least one Democratic senator was honest enough to acknowledge that even if the FBI investigation somehow magically exonerates him by proving a negative, that he's still a horrible human being.

That seems logical to you?

Her story is completely unsubstantiated. What more could he do to cast "serious, credible doubt" on an incident that he maintains never happened involving him from 36 years ago?

Other than having her abused on the witness stand and calling her character into question what could he possibly do and what would have been gained politically by mistreating her?

You reprobates are just angry because you baited the trap with an obviously fragile woman and nobody took the bait.

Right. And they were able to do that just from the limited amount of research the Republicans let them get to. Imagine how much dirt they would have been able to get to before the hearings if the Republicans hadn't done their best to hide it all.

The research and honest investigation are supposed to be done before the hearings start. Duh.

If I were Trump I would have pulled Kavanaugh and said I'll put him in for Ginsberg but this time I'm putting in Barrett I expect the committee to vote on that this afternoon and I expect her to be at the full Senate Monday morning, given that she was just vetted by the Senate just this year.

I cannot wait for the wailing and gnashing of teeth that s going to happen when he puts Barrett in for Ginsburg.

"What!?? She's a chick, is she not? It's an even exchange. Really!"

Sackcloth and ashes all around.

They were "able to do that" because in their view no conservative Justice is acceptable. We get that. But that isn't how "advice and consent" works especially after Reid and Schumer miscalculated Republican resolve. Get used to it.

Start practicing saying Justice Barrett next.

It's cute that you think that any of them read, or cared to read any of it. Sparticus, the Rhodes "Scholar" can't even be bothered to read his emails telling him, "sure, no problem, consider the material that actually makes Kavenaugh look good declassified."

He's so methed up that he's seeing elk in the desert.

I agree with you on this which is why I think the democrats have pushed the sexual assault charges to hard to the point everyone is hinging he appointment on just that.

He can be rejected for everything you just listed as well as lying under oath about the stolen files scandal under the Bush administration.

But...the FBI already saying the people who can testify to the fact he is lying about his college drinking, as in he was drunk all the time and belligerent which is huge in the assault cases, shows they have an agenda or a preference and its in favor of Kavanaugh, that testimony about his drinking proves him both a liar and increases the chances he did hurt those women.

he's belligerent sober, can't imagine him drunk.

But I fear he's going to get through because no matter what he is guilty of this is not a trial and the sleaze bag republicans will vote him in no matter what. I suspect Flake, when the FBI says no foul, will be "Okay, just wanted to be sure "Aye Aye Aye!"
