It seems like all people really know or care about Judge Kavanaugh is what he allegedly did when he was 17, and his appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
I care about his lying NOW, including under oath; about his lack of controlled temperament NOW; about his most recent ruling stonewalling on a woman receiving the care the law guaranteed her just so he could fluff up his credentials for being picked by a vile man for the Supreme Court; about his own demeanor and mealy-mouthing that very well may hide that he is a mean alcoholic, has a gambling addiction, is still extremely political partisan, including a holder of sick conspiracy theories after 12 years as a federal (for all of us) judge; about what he has exhibited of an arrogant entitlement problem that impairs his judgment; and that he has exhibited as strongly misogynist.
He is following the path of all people in his position who, rather than dealing with past issues during the process and showing how he has gotten past them--or just not overreaching for power and position--chooses to lie and lie and lie about them.
You appear to be among those who are purposely not discussing beyond the 35-year-old problematic issue to hide what he is NOW, which is what is important here.
NOW, by not choosing the quiet private investigation route and trying to deal with real issues from his life and choosing instead to lie, lie, lie about them under oath and exhibiting his true nature in public hearings, Brett Kavanaugh has shown he doesn't deserve to continue in his current position (which he demonstrably lied about in those hearings) let along be given a lifetime job on the highest court in the land.
He and the Republicans have been arrogant for, in the words of the majority leader himself, pounding this through without a shred of scruples in doing so. I think it's likely he'll be confirmed. But I think he and the Republicans in Congress and the vile man in the White House have unnecessarily done themselves and the country serious damage in the process.
And I think that you and the other Trumpettes on the board are banging away on the sexual assault issue from 35 years ago to distract and deflect from the man's unsuitability for the job because of who he is and has shown himself to be NOW.
