Kreepy Kavanaugh

No rational person watching this can say he will be impartial on the court.

His next tattoo is going to say "VENDETTA!" All that shit about the Clintons in his opening was pathological.

Really, how can you say that after hearing about all of the people that know him, his friends (I believe the number was 85) that have defended his reputation and his relationships with both woman and men.

The woman with nothing to gain is true, but nothing and no one to corroborate. The man who has already lost his reputation because of people that are not interested in the facts that are now being presented by a good man.

I forgot to mention this earlier and then had to disappear for a time: the "no corroboration" thing? The FBI hasn't looked into her charge, and the committee chose not to call any other witnesses, not even the one other person she mentioned as having seen the attack on her.

Do I find it suspicious that no one else remembers the party? Not really; it doesn't seem like it was much of a party. Kavanaugh seems to have had a more active social life than I did, and I certainly don't remember every time I hung out with a few people in a random house when I was 17. There would be no reason to remember it unless something traumatic happened to you there.

This hearing was called for the specific purpose of pretending to listen to her before moving on with the formality of sending the nomination to the full Senate. There was never any pretense of a search for truth, or any notion that it might look suspicious to call for a vote the day after the hearing.

Yep, having gone through them periodically for thirty years (and having walked out of one when it got ridiculous on the knowledge of the polygrapher), I fully understand that it only gauges whether the question ups your nervous response level, which can come from all sorts of reasons and individual physical response other than lying.

Is there a story on Literotica where the polygraph interviewee finds the ploygrapher incredibly sexy?

Should there be?

Good!

No one thought Kagan and Sotomayor would be "impartial." Nor have they been. Nor did they recuse themselves when it came to Obamacare.

This hearing is not about convincing you, or Dems. It is about convincing Republican Senators that he is well worth the political cost that they are likely to pay here. It is also letting the Dems know there are consequences to their despicable Borking tactics.

I vote do it!

Uh, no, the word is unhinged.

Sheldon Whitehouse did a good job needling him to the point of getting him to lash out.

If you need any proof the guy is a mean drunk with massive anger issues, all you have to do is watch his performance here. Mr. Virgin Wouldn't Hurt a Fly has some serious rage issues, it's abundantly clear.

It's indignation, but it's not righteous. He's obviously guilty and angry at being caught.

The phrase you are looking for is "righteous indignation."

Given that he's the one being accused with no corroboration it would be nice if he were treated with the deference that the person making the uncorroborated accusation has received.

I dunno. Maybe this is for the best.

Barrett probably would be more anti-abortion than Kavenaugh. He gives more deference to precedents than I would prefer.

Maybe for Christmas we can both get what we want! Justice Barrett and Predident Pence beginning 10 years in office!

Yeah. That must be it.

Good thing you all loaded up with that particular line of reasoning since it has absolutely nothing to do with what is being alleged. He's not alleged to have lashed out in anger in any way towards her and in fact when she tumbled off the bed he just let her go didn't chase her down and beat her unlike how Keith Ellison handles a woman scrambling to get away from him on a bed. You're sort of sporting the wrong narrative here.

The line of questioning asking Kavanaugh to ask the President to get the FBI to investigate was bizarre. Senator Feinstein could have gone to the FBI 20 days ago when she first received the allegation and get them to vet it to see if any of it was accurate or could be corroborated.

What was the point of him tearfully saying that he hired four clerks before he was even confirmed? What an entitled prick.

Oh, I see. You've never heard the argument that rape is a crime of power, not a crime of sex. Rape is an expression of rage. Rape is a form of punishment. The more this dipshit lashes out in anger, the easier it is to picture him slamming his hand over her mouth to shut her up.

Also, you need to be added to the BBX spastic spamming comments Hall of Deplorable Shame

Yeah. That must be it.

Not that I know of. If I wrote it, it would be the other way around--and might include the offer to hide results for sex.

The letter, with signatures of 65 women, that pledged support of Kavanaugh, has been put in the record

Many of the women who initially signed the pledge of their public support of Kavanaugh, may have changed their minds.

(Why bother to update ?)

Woman who signed the letter supporting Kavanaugh finds out he insulted her in yearbook.

The public is reminded that Kavanaugh is a judge...

Basically, the next generation of Americans will have to endure the previous generations crap. Actually, I've come to think there ought to be a term limit on voters eligibility. Good luck America.

Uh, no. The White House has to do the asking in this case. You probably knew that and are just floating disinformation. She could have asked, but, like everything else that's going on, as being in the minority, they can't respond to her individually.

If this were an actual trial, and a defendant, accused of a violent crime, loses his shit on the stand, you better believe the jury would take that into account.

Unless, of course, you are saying the alleged actions, which can reasonably be considered a failed attempt to rape Ford (Ford said she herself thought she was about to be raped or killed or both), could not be described as violent.

"Rape" isn't alleged here. Continuing to repeat that just makes it all the easier to dismiss everything else you have to say on the matter.

""slamming his hand"

Where is that characterization in the actual testiminy?

But...but Teh Funney of the interviewee wrestling over to defend him/herself against a negative polygraph result by admitting the polygrapher made him/her horny...

It is too. Attempted rape.

I am warming to the idea of 18 year terms on the Supreme Court

Que: someone corners you in a room, pushes you down onto a bed, falls on top of you, claps his hand over your mouth, starts fumbling with your pants, trying to pull them down.

What would you think he was trying to do? Give you a pap smear/testicular cancer exam?

He is a horrible example of judicial temperament. Look at his petulance, if a female nominee sat up there and cried she would have been denounced as lacking judicial temperament and removed from consideration. He is an example of Republican male mediocrity, getting everything handed to them on a plate while others fight for crumbs.

Can you imagine if Ginny or Sotomayor had been this disjointed and emotional? You know how the bumbling RWJC love to use the word "hysterical" to describe women!

He is not worthy to be on the highest court of the land, not even People's Court.

Elections have consequences, people. Look at those canterkerous, viejo senators! Folks need to get their asses off the couch and vote these fuckers out.

. . .and then let's me go?

He made an inappropriate, groping, pass at me and gave up.

During? Rapey.

After? I'm mad, but glad he did not rape me, and glad I was wrong about his intentions.

Which is what her testimony is.

...and the over-arching frame here is Kavenaugh insists he is not the person who by the way did not rape Ford.

There is no way in hell, even if well corroborated (instead of completely uncorroborated) and reported in a timely manner would this be charged as "attempted rape."

Anyone saying that has zero credibility.

The facts as they are are serious enough going to hyperbole and turning this into a crime that it wasn't does not help make this look like anything but what it now is which is a reason to bork Kavanaugh.

Grassley told Durban DURING THE HEARING, that he could have directly asked for an FBI investigation at any time.

That wasn't the narrative provided by Ford, lying dipshit. According to Ford, she escaped Kavanaugh when Judge toppled over them both, and she was inadvertently let loose.

Did someone with a Congressional IP address ( US House of Representatives) try to alter a wiki entry defining "Devil's Triangle" ?

What would be the point of doing that ?

This would have never gotten to trial:

She doesn't remember where it happened.
She doesn't remember when it happened.
She doesn't remember how she got there.
She doesn't remember how she got home.
She doesn't remember how many people were in the room with them.
The people that she claimed were there (including her female friend) all signed legal affidavits asserting that this did not happen, which BTW is a felony to lie on.

Also, she had inconsistencies in her testimony today that don't match up with previous allegationa. For example, originally she alleged that one attendee named PJ was a bystander. She changed that and said he was downstairs.
