If it were me, I would have done the same.
I wouldn't have reported it at the time, fearing that I would be disbelieved & my character assasinated.
But I would now become worried & angry that such a person is about to be given so much national power. So I'd come forward.

So as I see it, her account seems credible.
But that's a personal opinion. Regardless of whether one believes her or Kavanaugh, her claims merit the usual months-long investigation.

Kavanaugh's family lives in D.C., right? Are they still in their home? He merits government-paid-and-provided protection details, right? He/they aren't being told they have to be on the other side of the country tomorrow or Wednesday, right?

That said, neither family should have to live under such threatens. People who threaten them no matter from what side are rotten. HOWEVER, one side receiving death threats isn't the "whataboutism" argument you Trumpettes are making of it, which also is something that rotten people do.

The question is, why didn't you know this?

I don't know if Kavanaugh has a security detail at home either and asking Ford to travel in days from one coast to the other doesn't mean she wouldn't be given protection by the Capitol Police. They even offered to come to her location or home to interview her. So there is no security threat to her.
