Has anyone here in the free stories section of the internet ever taken unfinished works of de Sade and finished them, either as their own works or as a collaboration with de Sade?

Collaboration would be tricky, the dude died in 1814.

Have you read any of his stuff.

Heavy.

Repetitive.

Fucked up.

From recollection.

I don't think it's a "collaboration" if you are writing new works based on the works of someone who lived 200 years ago.

There's a lot of fertile ground in de Sade's work for writing new works, or -- more interesting to me -- taking some plot ideas and updating them to a modern setting. There's no copyright, so one shouldn't hesitate to do it, although it might be appropriate to offer an acknowledgment.

To publish them on Lit you have to be a bit careful because de Sade doesn't observe the content limits in force here.
