I love the visual of being in their pocket, in particular when I am feeling turtley. I have used that idea with more than one partner.

I haven't used that expression "in your pocket". When I feel like I need to have reassurance or get his attention in a message because I feel needy, I ask him to hold me.
Hugs are important and, yes, the way we hug someone tells so much. I'm huge on touchy-feely stuff (I'm a sensualist - and love cuddles), so if you only give me the one-arm hug I know where you've placed me on your list.

I totally understand this. Hugs are indicative... just the way your head can be placed on his chest, how his arms can envelop you, how his smell can make you feel in that moment... yes: hugs are very powerful.

Honestly, my only question was why it was a question. I would think there would be a world of difference in the what type of hug.

There is, Puck. Isn't it great that people need to write articles to say things most people already know instinctively?
You know a gesture that annoys me? (I seem to be annoyed this morning, apparently) That fake air kiss on the cheek. Not quite a hug, not quite a kiss.
I think I'm going to paint rocks today and hide them over the weekend. I wish I remembered to get white so I could paint a daisy. Those are such happy little flowers.

Paint colored daisies.
It tends to be more about the shape than the color. I'd love to see some of your rocks. (There's a rock painting group locally that I have hung out with a few times! it's so much fun)
