The fact that I have a massive man crush on him notwithstanding, I have one gay artist who has many songs that inspire me. That artist is jazz crooner Spencer Day.

While he's also known to do classic jazz and pop covers, the lyrics of many of his original songs, and sometimes to a layperson just by his use of personal pronouns, contain subtle references to gay romance and love. Others, if you know that he's openly gay (and perhaps if you parse some of the vernacular) evoke images of gay relationships (though they make great straight songs as well).

I often listen to Spencer Day when out on long runs, and it always seems to put an extra lilt in my step and swivel in my hips....LOL
