I know must people don't like Trump and think good. However would you ever be honest with a lawyer by the president this sets? I think the gods of law should fall on this guy and crush him into oblivion. Yes you may go Trump deserves this but how will you feel when it effects you or someone you know. If you can't speak to your lawyer without attorney client privilege what good is the legal system?

The only president it is setting is Trump. There is no precedent being set here. Cohen was well within the law to tape Trump. Trump’s own lawyers said the tapes weren’t privledged even though the special master was still reviewing them.

So you feel comfortable with the lawyers you hired recording discussions with clients and turning them over to authorities when it will get them out of a jam. Have you ever had an attorney? What would you say if you know they will not keep it confidential. A precedent has been set. Usually it ends in disbarment.

The funny thing is, Cohen needed the tapes to refute the lies coming out of the Tricky Defense Team. So it would seem he knew exactly with whom he was dealing and what precautions he needed to take on his own behalf.

The waiver of A/C privilege may have been preemptive to get in front of the privilege being found not to apply because of the crime/fraud exception. Not too far of a stretch based on what appears to be on the tape that has been disclosed.
