Because being a queen of the kitchen doesn't have anything to do with culture? And what you do takes talent, whereas I just need ears, eyes, and opinions. :kiss:

I do have the eyes and ears for a musical... I love a good musical, but you don’t need to be very bright for that...

As for cooking - I never said I was any good :). But I do find it a stress relief. My day job sees me either stuck behind a PC or in technical workshops. I find it relaxing to create something with my hands... and it helps feed my greed ;)

Well, I might argue that it depends on the musical...for a few, it's going to help to be on the brighter side. Sondheim comes to mind. :)

As for cooking, I don't think you need to say that you are any good. We've seen the pics and, just hearing you talk about cooking/food, it is clear you have a good palate.
While I enjoy the process of cooking itself...the dicing and chopping, the mise en place, building expertise and skills in the various techniques of cooking...and the sharing and enjoyment of the end product, I struggle with planning/deciding what to prepare. It sounds like you enjoy the process of looking through your cookbooks and putting together menus. That step always seems to overwhelm me. I start to second guess myself or feel the need to look at just one more recipe. Then I'll worry that I'll be able to find all the ingredients that are needed for a recipe. I wish I could enjoy that part of the process a bit more. What I have really enjoyed is trying some of the meal kit delivery services. Have gotten to try new ingredients and new techniques without the stress of menu planning.

Hello back :)

It’s muggy here, I can’t sleep. I turned the aircon off because it’s making a real rattling sound but I woke up in an unattractive pool of sweat so it’s back on but the fucking noise is now stopping me sleeping... I miss my own bed...

Man after my own heart... but it’s a little early, I am settling for a cuppa in the sunshine, it’s gorgeous - I am trying to get what I can before I am dragged to mother in laws for chores... which means a day inside her baking little flat. If you don’t hear from me again, I will have just keeled over in the heat (I have no idea why my phone tried to change keeled to jerked...)

In the interests of full disclosure, I am holding my belly in quite a lot here...

Oh and Ruth, how’s the supporting anyone playing England working out? :D

Tits not quite out but after another shitty day, I’ve started posting again...

I have a new thread - freedwoman has hit her limit (5k posts- how’d that happen? ;))

Haven’t decided what I’ll do yet if/when we win... any suggestions? Other than fucking a welsh flag with a strap on :D (joke - I love Wales, :heart::kiss:, plus I don’t own a strap on ;))
