Thank you for seeing what I was talking about. It's not about defending Trump, but defending the quality of our institutions, like the press. No matter the President, commentary should be at the very least reasonable. The 'News' in general has a lower favorability rating than Congress or the Pres at this point. I switched from a Journalism major 30 years ago, because I thought it had gotten cheesy way back then.

OMG - If I posted this in the GB, I'd be arguing with people for days...:D

the GB is worse than fake news... a bunch of asses arguing just for the sake of arguing. that's not to say there aren't some really brilliant people there posting and making valid points but it just gets lost among the endless pages of i'm right, you're wrong... no dumbass... you are wrong, I'm way smarter and right. ugh.

I just don't have time to engage in stories repeated by anyone, any where that can't be verified.

I'd like to applaud you on your stance of the current media. I have relatives that will post anything they can find providing it trashes Trump and hypes Obama regardless if it's true or not. Our local news recently ran a story blaming the Trump administration for pictures of things that happened during the Obama administration then refused to recant the story when their error was pointed out to them. As you said, what happened to good journalism whereby they fact checked their stories before they put them out? I'm neither a Trump supporter nor an Obama supporter. The man was hired to do a job, let him do it and report the news fairly I say.

After I retired, I decided to try being a consultant...and will be going on my first consulting business trip....and the company I will be helping has asked two OTHER companies to attend because they thought the other companies would want my services as well....this might work after all....
