Kentucky Crowd Cheers Valedictorian’s Trump Quote, Then Learns Obama Said It

Wisdom comes from the unlikeliest places. And on Saturday, Ben Bowling, the valedictorian of Bell County High School in Pineville, Ky., made an inspirational appeal that left his graduating classmates and their parents dumbstruck.

“This is the part of my speech where I share some inspirational quotes I found on Google,” he told the packed auditorium. “‘Don’t just get involved. Fight for your seat at the table. Better yet, fight for a seat at the head of the table’ — Donald J. Trump.”

The crowd burst into applause. President Trump is quite popular in Pineville and the surrounding area, which is the heart of coal country and overwhelmingly supported the president in the 2016 election after he promised to bring coal jobs back to America.

Mr. Bowling, though, wasn’t finished.

“Just kidding,” he said. “That was Barack Obama.”

Students hate Trump SOTU quotes, but they're Obama’s

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump gave his first State of the Union address. While the speech was received favorably by 75 percent of those who watched, according to a CBS poll, there were still those who disapproved.

Campus Reform headed to John Jay College in NYC to talk to students who disapproved of the speech by asking them to react to a few select quotations. Almost unanimously, the students found each of the quotes to be “warmongering”, “aggressive,” and “immature.”

What the students didn’t know was that all the quotes given to them were taken from President Obama’s State of the Union addresses.

What's the big deal?

If the quote expresses a valid sentiment, then it's legitimate regardless of who said it.

LAWLZ

His store bought wife also copied from First Lady Mrs. O.
That's what these idiots are good for...copying from people they hate. Bigots love borrowing from the people they deem inferior.

Like the Dems did with "affordable" healthcare they stole from repugs and managed to fuck that up quite nicely when they repackaged it as Obama care?

Mr. Nice Guy: Obama’s Hitler remark reprehensible

Nobody quotes Hitler for anything positive.

I wish I could say that when I heard it I couldn’t believe it. But that wouldn’t be true, because the moment I heard Barack Obama’s remarks at the Chicago Economic Club, I knew we were hearing the real Obama.

You may know by know what the comment was: America is in danger of becoming 1930s Germany. Those years, of course, saw the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. So, there was nothing subtle going on here. Trump equals Hitler: the same three words that protesters marched with during the campaign. If you have any doubts about what was going on here, listen to the accolades that followed that message.

I recall during the campaign wondering, how low can they go? It takes a great deal of hatred and ignorance of world history to make that comparison. Although there have been worse mass slaughters in the past 100 years, especially by the communists in Russia and then China, Hitler’s genocide stands as a monument to blood lust and horror.

YouTuber Reads Quotes To People On The Street, Then Asks: ‘Trump Or Democrat?’

Fletcher begins with quotes related to immigration:

FLETCHER: We all agree on the need to better secure the border and to punish employers who choose to hire illegal immigrants.

BLACK & GRAY SPIDER-MAN: Oh, that’s Trump all the way.

FLETCHER: That’s actually Barack Obama, 2005.

FLETCHER: I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters ... I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors; and I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.

MICHAEL JACKSON LOOKALIKE: Trump.

FLETCHER: No, it was actually Barack Obama.
