So another wonderful Litster has gone. Too many people are telling me personally what a weird vibe there is going around, and how they're not posting much anymore (which I can see happening). I sort of feel it, but can't put my finger on anything. In spots, I still have fun, and I certainly can see amicable banter, both goofy and sexy, of Litsters having a wonderful time with each other, so it's not like the place has turned into Mordor, but WTF?

I do know that there are a few nasties here, but typically most of the truly asshole shit goes on in PMs, by pieces of shit skulking in the dark, throwing stones.

Is it really too much to ask that we treat each other like next door neighbors that you have to see everyday, and not disposable, unseen typists that you can treat any shitty fucking way you want?

Civility shouldn't be so difficult.

Agreed. Really sad right now.

The best books are the ones you want to end so you can see the story unfold, then think about after for days. You miss the characters and wonder what happen next. Their story becomes part of your existence and influences your story.

I don’t see it nor feel it more prominent than usual. It goes in waves - this nitpicking or low tolerance for this or that. Some speak their mind, classy or trashy, but to each their own. I’m one that refuses to give my time or energy to such.
Its the - who’s gonna have the last word, who can’t balance RL and the Lit fantasy Fuckland, who speaks with such vagueness as to almost poke at another person intentionally. It’s all there, always has and will be around. It’s called ignoring the trivial BS. Just like how you handle a yappy co-worker or a BIL that drives you bat shit crazy.

I love books like this! What are you reading that inspired this post? Feel free to pm me if you don’t want to post

I agree with this completely. As soon as you say, "Hey, isn't it kind of moody around here?" then it becomes moody. I say ignore it and make your own fun. :)

Let's be real here, you probably heard this from your friends perspectives, I am sure if you asked the other party, you will find there are 2 sides to every story. Really we should all be having fun and leave business between 2 adults, between those 2 individuals.

Yes! Exactly! I read one not long ago.

Some people see what you mean, and some never miss a perceived opportunity to try to 'school' people where no schooling is needed. So freaking tedious and a paltry attempt at self-aggrandizement.

Have at it, oh great philosophers...

Why don't I heal like a twenty-year old anymore? Just because everyone else is getting older, that doesn't mean I have to...

Part of my man-fam is going through some shut. One of his younger brothers is schizophrenic and living in my area. I told him I’d give him a job. I will. No question. Without hesitation. But it makes me super nervous. He’s on probation for a pled-down violent crime. I feel guilty that part of me hopes he doesn’t collect.

Unfortunately this is not the case, oh and anyone could say that you sent them something. I want to see the proof, because I don't hide behind private messages...just saying.
