Feel free to ask me questions and just discuss random shit, I don't bite (hard). Funny is always preferred. The housewives might actually be on day 3 of the same t-shirt and yoga pants. You ask us what our hobbies are and you get a blank look like we don't understand English. Clarify with what do you like to do, and still the blank look. Why? because it has been so long we have forgotten. We just deal with responsibilities. We go to our jobs or deal with the rugrats, take them to their activities, cook meals, run errands and clean on weekends. If we can steal some time once every three months to see a friend, it is combined with household supply shopping at Target. We might bring the kids, because if we don't, we haven't even arrived before a husband is texting about how long it has been or something about the kids. Anyway Target, we talk about what the kids are up to, then the husbands, if we both work, we talk about work, then maybe the recent Greys...then what. My friend and I actually make up ridiculous stories about those around us. We have already shared our old stories, and we don't have much new. That is the cliche I was implying. What I am desperate for is new experiences. Sure, that could be one night with a new person, but it is deeper than that. I guess what I am desperate for is freedom and time to enjoy it. I do pretty good in stealing little bits of time here and there, and keeping things as interesting and fun as I can, but I am still a bit cliche. Just another chick at Target like all the rest.

Also side note, guys looking for chicks, have you tried Target? It is full of painfully bored women looking to take home something they totally don't need just for something different and exciting to do. Might be a good place to look.

Sloth. Sloth is one of those sins that mean different things to different people. Some lean more to the basic sleeping and lounging instead of working definition, some are more vague with just the definition of avoiding spiritual, physical, or mental work. I confess to being guilty of both. I like lounging around when I can, and I make a lifestyle of trying to avoid as much stress as possible and finding ways to avoid extra work when I can.

However, today, I am going to introduce another character from my life. I will call him Dean. Dean was an excellent example of sloth as a method of avoiding work or progress in life. He is one I have been meaning to introduce for a while since I often spent some time with him over a 3 year period, and because he is a player in an experience I do plan to share at some point, which basically became a week long sex-a-thon experience of running through all the sins with him and another guy. It was an experience I am very glad to have had.

If someone talks about Dean, it will be 3 things. Either A) He is such a fun guy, B) Total waste case, how does everything always work out for him, or C) from other woman, you should totally take him for a spin. I will admit my friends and I joked about making men trading cards. Many of us had been with many of the same guys as time went by. Occasionally, one chick might pull a man off the table, otherwise if a man and friend were no longer in a committed relationship with a friend, and you were unsure if a friend gave a fuck, you asked first, because chicks before dick. However, it also wasn’t uncommon for one of us to be saying we were bored with the current boyfriend and another to ask if she can have him next, or for one to recommend an ex to a friend. In this case, I was in a bar with the girls, and one notices a man from another group eying me. Actually, the girl who noticed, was very well acquainted with him. She leans and whispers to me “Total waste case, but a hell of a good time, and you totally need to take him for a spin”

Dean was never not in a good mood. He never showed any emotion other than happy. Not even a flash of anger, displeasure, fear, disappointment, nothing. He never laid any expectations on anyone or anything. He lived only in the moment. There were 2 things, and only 2 things that Dean focused on….getting fucked up and getting fucked. He had absolutely zero work ethic. Almost always unemployed, always had complete faith everything will always work out, and it did. Near as I can figure, middle aged women primarily funded his most basic lifestyle. The other positive (or negative, depending on viewpoint) about Dean was he loved women. Every woman, all the time. He had a way of making you feel amazing, while lining up the waitress for later. I am sure it didn’t hurt he was fucking fine in that nasty skanky rock band way (he was in a band, it went well with the whole getting fucked up and getting fucked lifestyle). Yeah, I do like my men dirty sometimes.

He never said bullshit like when can I see you again, I missed you, did you miss me, etc etc. Again, was only in the moment. His upbeat, funny, happy go lucky attitude had a way of rubbing of on me. The stresses of the world faded away with him. Nothing I or anyone else said could bother him in any way. The kind of man that 2 minutes prior was trying to pick up your wife, and you wanted to kick his ass, and are now laughing with him. Some examples of what I would find stressful. Once, at his apartment, when landlord knocked and placed an eviction notice on his door (yeah obviously likely didn’t pay rent in a while) not a moment of concern. So Dean, what are you going to do? No idea, it is all good, the universe will provide. Seriously. Ok, another time, the only time I wanted to hang and he ended up not making it work. I paged, he returned my call, said let me see what I can do, but I am living with this chick, and damn, she is watching me like a hawk, under total lock and key but this house is fucking amazing, I am trying to make it work with her. He calls back a little later, says he can’t get out. Like a week and a half later, he reaches out to let me know his situation changed, so I decide to get together. We go to another crappy apartment he now has, start drinking and talking. “So, Dean, you fucked up with her?” and he is “yeah, royally” “what did you do, try to screw her friend?” he answers “her sister” I am “OMG, Dean, well, I am sorry it didn’t work out for you”, he is “Oh no, it is all good, after she kicked me out, while she was screaming at me, she kept throwing and hitting me all the stuff she bought me, totally awesome, right, look at this watch” and yeah OMG Dean. The one job I ever saw him have, was late shift at a ghetto gas station. Maybe lasted two months. One night I paged, and he tells me he has like an hour and a half left on shift, he can meet me after, or I am welcome to come and wait. I show maybe 45 minutes before he his done. We are just chit chatting, guy with a ski mask on comes in waving a gun, and demands money. Dean, still happy as always “Sure Man” opens the register “take anything you want. Actually we (pointing to me) were about to go outside a smoke a blunt, mind if we go?” Robber wasn’t keen on that idea, so Dean suggests the walk in refrigeration, says we will probably be in there 10 or 15 minutes, tells the robber to take his time taking whatever he wants, leaves the keys to the front glass display case etc. Robber is cool with that, we walk in the refrigeration area and Dean totally lights up a blunt. So we sit on milk crates, getting stoned, while a masked gunman robs the store. I am like Dean, this doesn’t bother you at all. Nah, it’s all good. You do realize that you’ll have to deal with the cops, right? That’s why I am smoking a blunt now. So we keep smoking, talking about random shit. Come out when blunt is out, robber is gone, Dean tells me to go to a nearby restaurant and he will meet me there when the cops leave.

So yes, total waste case, but also, fucking phenomenal to screw. You know how when you are feeling stressed or low, the best pick me up is someone above you. Well, every month or so, when I was feeling stressed, depressed, and really just need to get extremely fucked up and extremely well fucked, I’d call him. A typical night would entail him coming to get me, we would go back to his place (which changed a few times), he’d pour drinks, pack a bong, cut out some lines. I’d tell him my problems, half of which were men problems haha, other just normal life problems. He would tell me not to worry, it would be all good, I stress too much, to let it go. Then we would continue getting exceptionally wasted, laughing, and joking about life, then screw all night. He could get it up at the drop of a hat, go for fucking ever, recover amazingly. Seriously, sometimes when I called, he was with another chick, and would like give me 3 hours to meet you. One morning, at about 4am, after we had pretty much been at it all night (I always had him take me home at 5am), a chick pagedm and he arranged to meet her at 7am, and then looks at me, wanting to go again before he took me to home (and yeah we totally did). That was impressive at the time, but really impressive as I have been around the block more, and haven’t seen anything quite like it. And it wasn’t only the stamina, endurance, quick recovery time, and excellent detail oriented oral skills; but he had a way of taking me to and keeping me at the point of such ecstasy, that the world faded away, I wouldn’t even know my own name, hell fire could be raining down, and I wouldn’t fucking notice. Like I don’t know, a full out of body experience. The constant maintaining of that which is normally repeating waves.

So yeah, that was Dean, the most user friendly guy ever, and the most fun associated with sloth I have ever had. Today, many years later, he is still in the same city, still a waste case, though appears primarily hippie stoner in his older years, tons of job hopping if employed, still appears quite good looking for a man pushing 50 (if you like the long hair, bandana wearing, outdoorsy type). Some things were never going to change. Very true. But of course I am a tough person to nail down. I've walked dirt poor, trampy and druggie (as a message just pointed out about my above story lol), traveling homeless hippie and rainbow gatherings, city business suit heels hair up professional, involved mom, total geek and redneck.

It is hard for someone to truly know what I will like, as unlike all those people who know what they want to do when they grow up, I still don't know.

I just try to not be too closed off to new things. I like different and new. Things arent always what they appear.
