First Daughter Ivanka Trump will travel to California’s Central Valley next month to campaign for Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), ABC 30 reports.
Nunes, the controversial chair of the House Intel Committee, has been accused of carrying water for President Donald Trump.
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who represents Bakersfield, will join the First Daughter in Fresno for her “Keep The House” visit.
“She’s popular, anybody from the Trump family is welcome, and we are honored and excited to see them,” Fresno County Republican Party Chair Fred Vanderhoof told ABC 30.
Vanderhoof, the local GOP chair, expected Ivanka’s June 18th event to be held away form the public to avoid protesters.
Attorney Michael Avenatti calls for investigation into Rudy Giuliani’s personal and business finances
Attorney Michael Avenatti had a few questions on Saturday morning, including about Columbus Nova — a firm which retained Trump’s embattled attorney Michael Cohen to help bring in GOP clients — but he was pressed on Twitter about Giuliani’s financial situation. That was when he called on the press to do a little digging around on the former mayor of New York City and his financial entanglements.

GOP lawmaker has white hot meltdown over NY Jets owner paying kneeling NFL players’ fines
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) had a Twitter freakout on Saturday morning, complaining about news that New York Jets acting owner Christopher Johnson would pay the fines for any of his players who continued to kneel during the national anthem despite a new National Football League ban.
Writing on Twitter, the blustery congressman called the move “disgraceful, and compared the protest to a Nazi salute.
“Disgraceful that @nyjets owner will pay fines for players who kneel for National Anthem. Encouraging a movement premised on lies vs. police. Would he support all player protests? Would he pay fines of players giving Nazi salutes or spew racism? It’s time to say goodbye to Jets!” King tweeted.
