I’m one of those folks who outburst when they randomly think of something embarrassing. Some outbursters make inarticulate noises — from my anecdotal research, the most common form of “embarrassment attack” outburst is a short, sharp inarticulate cry-out...in the shower (a sudden memory from elementary school is a “typical” trigger.) I’m not making this up; comedian Bill Burr does a bit about it.
