After paying Stormy Daniels $130K just for the hell of it, after setting up a shell company to pay the $130K to Stormy Daniels just for the hell of it, after saying it wasn't what it looked like, Michael Cohen, personal attorney to the con artist, has stated he is invoking his Fifth Amendment right to self-incrimination when he is questioned during the Stormy Daniels defamation lawsuit.

His excuse? That other case against him, the criminal one with the FBI.

But then, as the con artist has said, “The mob takes the Fifth Amendment. If you’re innocent why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

P.S. As of this posting, the Fox tabloid is avoiding this story like the plague.

P.P.S. Almost half an hour later there is finally a story on the Fox tabloid about Cohen pleading the Fifth. It's buried well down the page. It's so far down the page it would be considered the last page of a newspaper. In the last column. Near the bottom.

Everyone in USA may invoke 5th Amendment protection against self-incrimination for any reason -- unless they accept a pardon and thus admit guilt i.e. incriminate themself. Whether saint or slimeball, you can't be MADE to talk -- except by a grand jury. Lawyer Cohen gets to make his own calculation on talking vs shutting up. Time in prison might be safer than being known as a snitch. If I'd been dealing with mafiyas, I'd be quiet, too.

For that matter, why would you tweet about whether or not your lawyer will flip on you if you're innocent? :D

Trump admitted today on Fox and Friends that Cohen represented him on the "crazy Stormy Daniels deal." He also said that Cohen only did a "tiny, tiny little fraction of my legal work."

So there must have been lots more than just the crazy Stormy Daniels deal that other lawyers covered for him.

Remember, DJT is a showman. His guilty act is just that, a funny act. Ha ha.

How many DJT-DNA little bastards are out there, ready and able to inherit?

‘An indictment is coming’: Ex-DOJ official concludes Michael Cohen about to be arrested

Former Deputy Assistant General Harry Litman joined MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes” on Friday to dissect the latest judicial opinions issued in the legal cases surrounding President Donald Trump.

Litman explained the appointment of a special master in Michael Cohen’s case as “someone who will be reviewing the documents and try to call out which are privileged, which seem to have indicia of advice from a lawyer.”

“Which, we’re told by the United States are fairly few, they expect and have represented to the court that Cohen really wasn’t so much a lawyer as a kind of businessman, fix-it guy and if they’re right, there won’t be that many documents that the special master will identify,” Litman noted. “But the special master will have the first — she’ll have the first crack at it and will report to the court in the collaboration with the parties.”

“Harry, it seems to me that one of the subtexts of the judicial rulings in the civil case against Michael Cohen is, ‘this dude is going to get indicted,'” Hayes observed. “That is very much between the lines, my sense, from reading what this — the judge in that civil suit says.”

“That’s not the subtext, that’s the text!” Litman replied with a chuckle. “The text says, ‘I think an indictment is coming.'”

About fucking time!:D

I pleaded the 5th once. By the time I figured out why I was guilty about whatever I was accused of, I was told "Consider the source".

I had diarrhea for days.

Sounds like Michael Cohen will need a bit more than a Presidential Pardon by the time he's through.

One of the most currently prominent New York taxicab owners is Trump attorney Michael Cohen, who with his wife own some 32 medallions. But like many taxicab owners, the Cohens took out loans based on the value of the medallions. It's reported that their loans, like those of other taxicab operators, are now underwater, while their revenues have declined. Additionally, it's been reported that the Cohen's taxi companies have piled up unpaid taxes and fines. In Chicago, about half of the Cohen's 22 medallions have been suspended since January for non-payment of insurance. The culprit for Cohen's financial issues was not a political rival of President Trump, or the $130,000 the attorney allegedly paid for Stormy Daniels' silence, but the wrenching changes brought by Lyft and Uber.

That bastion of perversity, the National Enquirer, the same rag which buried Stormy Daniel's story of her affair with the con artist, put out a hit piece on Cohen.

According to the source, Enquirer publisher David Pecker, who is a longtime friend of Trump's, would not have allowed the publication of the story -- which featured a headline including the phrase "Trump's Fixer's Secrets & Lies" -- without the President's blessing.

When asked whether he thought a message was being sent by the story's publication, Cohen told CNN: "What do you think."

Anyone who thinks the con artist cares about you is obviously living in an alternate universe. Any time the con artist believes he is in danger he has no problem jettisoning the problem.
