Anonymous Feedback and Haters...

Hey there, I just read your latest version of the gangbang story and loved it. I wish you would write more stories more often. Two years is too long between. I also wanted to ask that you join myself and other authors who post in the Loving Wives category in helping to silence that lonely little man who posts all the hate filled comments. He us s many aliases as well as posting anonymously. We are deleting his comments and taking away his voice. Then maybe he will fade away. Let’s take back our site and eliminate that fool.

It was in response to a story I posted in the "Loving Wives" category. Of the 19 comments 9 are just hate, 4 are replies to the hate, 2 are general comments 3 are positive and one a rant from me (which I should just delete). Soooo, there are only 5 real comments.

I understand there will always be haters, I've only submitted two stories, both to the Loving Wives, got a fair amount of feedback, and I’ve only deleted one because they used the “N” word. I dislike the haters only in that their feedback is pointless, rude and not at all helpful. And posting hate anonymously is rather cowardly.

Is deleting their feedback at all helpful? It doesn’t stop them from leaving low ratings, which is also a bit frustrating.
How do other’s feel about the “haters” and how do you deal with them?

Also, who sent me the above feedback, and how do you propose we go on with (aside from the delete all option)?

This is the place the general board? Have fun getting trolled for having the nerve to write stories here that make the money that allow those losers who talk politics 24/7 and have been kicked off all respectable chat boards to have a place to be.

turn off anonymous feedback. that solves a lot of the problem. delete all of the shitty comments. you've worked hard on your stories so you don't have to be anyone's doormat. judging from the literacy of the anonymous comments i used to get, i'm fairly sure that none of the commenters would be able to string enough sentences together to create a story, even a bad one. constructive comments are helpful, bashing just feeds the poster's ego.

Yep. Just delete any comments you don't like. It's your story and you get to moderate the comments on your own story. I have fun with mine sometimes but the really offensively useless ones just get silently wiped.

Thanks... But I don't see a delete option anymore, just a "Report" option. Unless I'm being more dunce than normal.

In your Account home page, every story has a little speech bubble icon to the right of the story title. Click on it and you'll see every comment. Beside each comment is a check box - check, delete, done.

My suggestion: if you don't like a comment, ignore it.

I have never, ever deleted a single comment to any of my stories. I wrote a Loving Wives story, and received some amazingly vicious (but quite funny) comments. A lot of them have been deleted by the site owner.

Focus on the good and ignore the bad. Keep writing, do your thing, and publish without regard to whether some troll in a basement might dislike your story.
