As a child, "spaghetti" was somewhat of a challenge for me. I pronounced it "spasketti" for a long time. I got into trouble at school w/a grammar nazi in the school cafeteria doing that.

We had been learning our "ABCs" and how to spell. One day, we had spaghetti and we were all excited.

As I sat down to eat, I said,"SPASKETTI!" real loud. An English teacher was behind me and corrected me.

"Spaghettie," she said.
"Leave me alone bitch. I'm eating" . That didn't go over so well. Got my my 1st school paddling that day.

And that's how I became the best speller ever!

I called it "pasketti" until I was eight. Now I'm wheat intolerant :(

Don't forget the Spaghetti-Ohs!

Oh shit.

Hey, it's ultra-kewl to call it pasta, right?

Be a pasta masta or pasta blasta, or smoke some rasta pasta.

Just don't mistake tortellini for Turtle Wax.

Basketti is a word a lot of people pacifically get wrong, while drinking their expressos.

I was twelve before I could say 'with' with the th on the end, but at least I could spell it. The kid who sat next to me wrote things like, 'He went wif me to the bafroom', because our teacher told us to sound out words to help us spell them. That's like asking a dyslexic to look a word up in a dictionary.

The new reporter on our local TV channel says.."And now over to Julie for the wevver".
