shouldn't burma be prosecuted for war crimes now?

And to me too, but what are these supposed war crimes? From what I have heard, they forcibly expelled some unwanted illegal aliens.

To liberals and snowflakes that is a crime...the gall of kicking people who have no right to be in a country out of it.

Many of those 'illegals' have been there nearly as long as the US colonists, some for centuries longer than that. Until 1948 they were all 'Burmese'.

They were full Myanmar citizens until 1962 when they were declared 'foreign'. Since the 1980s they have had few rights in Myanmar. They were not counted in any census because they weren't citizens. They have been systematically isolated and have been subject to adverse propaganda.

No, they're ethnically cleansing a people that has lived there for centuries.

They're Muslims, looks like what goes around comes around. The question is, if they've lived there for centuries as some say, why now? What precipitated the current action?

The Myanmar government wanted some group to blame for the fuck-up their country is in. They have been blaming the Rohinja for over fifty years.

It is a standard tactic for a corrupt government - blame an external enemy or an internal minority who are different. If you don't have an external enemy or an obvious minority? Create one.
