They still can, it's not legal discrimination. You can refuse service to anyone as long as it's not for very specific reasons. And now you're gonna say age is one of those reasons but many lawyers much smarter than you have said it's ok. Why do you think you know more than they?

Since there’s no law as to an age limit for weapons purchases at Walmart, simply a cowardly corporate decision that makes no more sense than the schools present 1950’s duck and cover drills, who’s to stop someone from buying a Walmart rifle for a 19 year old? So long as the 19 year old has the legal right to buy it, the sale is legal, and it’s still a 19 y/o with a Walmart rifle.

And what if they also decide to not sell to someone because they’re 65? Does this blatant age descrimination also mean they now have a new legal right not to hire them as well. I expect the AARP would take that as a serious violation and win.
