Dick's Sporting Goods imposed a 21 Year age limit too.
That only applies to companies when they're discriminating against blacks, women and gays, not when they offend gun owners.
They stopped selling AR-15s 6 years ago. The announcement was for the clueless media to blast all over the nation to other clueless people who need to think they're goody goody sporting goods store is doing something.
Many Walmoarts in CA have stopped selling firearms period. Our local store stopped selling ammunition until the new unconstitutional CA law could be figured out. Most Walmarts stopped selling AR-15s three years ago.

What’s the difference between refusing to sell a rifle to a law abiding 20 year old, and refusing to sell a wedding cake to a gay man, in both cases you’re shitting on somebodies rights just because you want to.

The only problem I see with the 21 year old age limit is that we can send 18 year olds, armed, into war, to protect our country but we feel they can't handle owning a gun to protect their own home?
Wal-mart and Dick's can do whatever they want. There is a lot of liability in selling guns. I don't blame them for wanting to distance themselves from that.

Walmart does not get to set the age limit. That is reserved for the legislature.
There is no difference. Can they refused to sell donuts to fatties? Refuse to sell alcohol to a drunk? Refuse to sell beds to sluts? Refuse to sell sunblock to people who tan?
The answer is they can sell merchandise or not, but they cannot choose their customer arbitrarily.
And yet them and Dicks both did and most legal experts are saying they can. I'm sure your sharp legal mind will be quick to correct them tho.
Yes they can refuse to sell alcohol to a drunk. Most places they are required to refuse service.
So you and another person come into my store. I can sell the guy ahead of you in line a pack of cigarettes but not you?
Not if they are sober at the time of the sale. Replace drunk with "alcoholic".
