So if we are to arm all teachers, the logical solution to properly protect the children, would be higher capacity magazines so that their chances of hitting the target increases. It's math. It's not even close to full auto. A whole magazine at full auto sounds like a loud burp. Takes about a second or two. It's why nobody uses it or even wants it. It's pointless and a waste of ammo.

That's a world record thing, not fair to compare. However 15 seconds is just lazy. l It's a googled number for one thing and for another it's people taking their sweet ass time on the range. A decent person with a pistol could reload by hand in around 15 seconds much less with a speedloader.

Listen to full auto a few times. You can spout your rate of fire bullshit all you want, it all sounds essentially the same. A second or two of buuuuuuuurp and then empty mag. They most certainly cannot but they can sure as fuck do better than the 15 seconds that was quoted earlier. I can reload one round at a time in about 15 seconds or so. I have only timed in my head so it's not totally accurate but I can do a speedloader in about 5 seconds when I'm on my game. People don't realize how long something like 10 seconds really is.

Short story here, I have a dear cousin. He would go off on the tangent, on message forums, emails, and spit nonsense with a bunch of expletives. Did you fire your weapon? Did you require all six (or more bullets)? How many people were threatening you at one time?

I'm not saying handguns aren't a deterrent. I'm willing to stipulate that.

I'm wonder about the necessity of having, say, six or more bullets....are you that poor a shot? Do you really require more than six opportunities to hit a target? The purpose of an auto-loading semiautomatic rifle is to acquire as many targets in the shortest possible amount of time. I cannot think of a civilian situation that would require more than six shots fired in the shortest amount of time, save to commit mass murder.

The security guard you ran and hid behind would likely get between 1 and none of 6 shots on target under actual stress. Unless, say, he was a recently retired, range certified, FBI agent. Their studies show that in actual incidents, agents get 30% of the rounds placed in the lethal zone. It was the reason they went with 9mm. Double-stacked magazine for twice the bullets.

The high school I went to had a 50' range in the basement. 3 times a week I carried a cased target rifle to school on the city bus. When I got to school I checked the rifle into the arms room. In that room were 300 M1's, 50 1911 45's, 2 m1919 30 cal. bmg's, 2 60mm mortars, and 30 03-A3's for the drill team. Ammunition for all save the mortars.

Today the schools have been stripped of the means to defend themselves, God, and any semblance of civility yet the pansies want to strip away all possibility of the individual being able to defend themselves, or others, in the name of "safety." and yet are outraged when their myopic view of Utopia is found to be worthless.

They, the pansies', believe their own lives to be of infinite value while refusing to act on those beliefs. They expect someone whose annual value is only $40K or so a year to be there to 'take the bullet' for them. Or, even worse, deprive those that are willing to defend their own live the ability to do so in the misguided thought that that somehow makes their own lives safer.

My dad just built a gnarly ass stoner rifle platform chambered in .458 SOCOM will full rails, gangster grip up front with the Surefire super blinder on a pressure switch and an EOtech reflexive sight sitting up top.

From what it sounds like he built the ultimate 1 hitter quitter home defender....I might just have to build my own and retire the ol' pump action Mossy 500 to the back up back up position.
