But...Will They Stay Bought?

Of course they will stay bought .Power and money are the only things they are interested in .
I am not a religeous person but if I'm wrong then there will be a special place in hell for these hypocrites .

This tragedy will be sanitized like all of the others. We'll just know that people were wounded and people died. We will never see images of the carnage. People need to see that so that they know those people died from being ripped apart by a high powered rifle like soldiers in combat.

Get ready for victim blaming. Blame the school, blame the students even the dead for not reporting mental health concerns of the shooter.

Shove your thoughts and prayers up your ass.

Kudos to CNN for NOT displaying the name or picture of the shooter. He's only "an ex-student" or "the suspect."

I see they name him in the articles of you click on them, but they won't broadcast his picture or his name all over the front page = Stop encouraging

And Kudos to Chris Hayes on MSNBC for being the only newscast I saw to talk about the media's role in all this

But… will they stay in power?

I think they will get the ass-kicking they deserve, with two provisos for the Democrats.

a) Let Nancy Pelosi step down as would be Speaker of the House. She's the only person as hated as Hillary, and would be a huge fund raiser/get out the vote for the Fox watchers and talk radio listeners. Find somebody younger.

b) Don't make the mid-term elections about guns. It makes people think you're out to confiscate their personal property, take away their personal safety, Constitutional rights, etc. It's highly motivational.

American society hates its children, whose upbringing is entrusted to the low-paid and overwhelmed. Airports are better protected than schools; airline passengers are worth more than children. Lawmakers taking NRA cash work for the bribes, not the nation's children, of course. Must their own kids be attacked before they stop the insanity?

Anyone calling for public carrying of firearms is an enabler of mass murder. Those carrying firearms in public, if not members of a well-regulated militia, should be punished as terrorists. Those carrying firearms on or near a school should be hanged.

Americans have the right, and the responsibility, to defend the nation. They haven't the freedom to go rogue.

I don't know anything about purchasing or possessing guns, but didn't Trump sign an executive order making the sale of guns to people with mental/emotional issues easier? Or am I remembering wrong? The reports say this guy has a history of issues and legally purchased the gun. How does a gun salesperson know if a person has issues?

Yes and no. About a year ago he repealed an Obama thing which did that. NRA didn't like the Obama Regs, but neither did the American Civil Liberties Union. It only applied to people getting social security benefits who needed help with their bank accounts, not to everyone.

So there were some 4th Amendment due process issues too, not just gun lobby profits.

I figure it was really about gun profits, because the GOP doesn't care about 4th Amendment, or they wouldn't have passed the Patriot Act.

But you can't blame everybody on that vote. It's their duty to uphold The Constitution. Some were probably doing that.

Rethuglicans are stanch supporters of the 2nd amendment, because they are bought off by the NRA.

Will they stay bought?

Discuss.

Come up with more money and I'm sure they will join you and the other anti-civil rights Democrats.

Sadly, they will because cowardly assholes like bot will keep jerking off to guns and voting for them.

Never done either of those things.

Though I do favor civil rights, unlike you and the other totalitarian shits.

One of your best posts and I agree.

All those defending the public carrying of firearms is an enabler of mass murder. Those carrying firearms in public, if not members of a well-regulated militia, should be punished as terrorists. Those carrying firearms on or near a school should be hanged.

Hypoxia the biggest hater of civil rights on the board...a common theme among the left.

The Really Scary News for Rethuglicans!

‘End of the road for me’: Ex-RNC finance chair refusing to donate to GOP unless it does something about assault weapons

Republican former Ambassador Al Hoffman, Jr issued a bold ultimatum to his party, demanding action on gun control before he will give another dime, The New York Times reported Saturday.

“For how many years now have we been doing this — having these experiences of terrorism, mass killings — and how many years has it been that nothing’s been done?” Ambassador Hoffman told The Times. “It’s the end of the road for me.”

Prior to the senate confirmation, Hoffman served as the finance chair of the Republican National Committee.

“I will not write another check unless they all support a ban on assault weapons,” he promised. “Enough is enough!

Some big Republican donors in Florida are saying no more until their candidates support a new ban on the sale of military grade automatic weapons like we had in the old days before the NRA successfully lobbied for the repeal of that. However those donors don't donate to Republicans nearly as much cash as the NRA does-as much as fifty-four million dollars. So I would say yes they will stay bought.

The sad truth is career politicians wouldn't have entered politics if they weren't willing to be up for sale and as long as the campaign donations keep coming then they serve whoever signs those checks-in this case the NRA.

So unless we as a voting public vote the bought politicians out of office (That goes for Dems as well as Reps) and vote in people that will not accept lobbyists campaign donations at all the only change will get will be the same ol same ol "Thoughts and prayers weak sauce" or "You just needed a good guy with a gun" foxtrot from Washington. Meanwhile these shootings will go on and the song and dance just continues ad nauseum.

Politics in USA, with corporations cast as people and cash as speech, costs. Lobbyists provide money; unfunded campaigns die; that's the simple truth. With "term limits" and "voting the assholes out" we get a flock of newbies... played by experienced lobbyists and career staffs. The pol on the ballot is only a front for their staff (Deep State!) and their owners er I mean donors.

How about we just hang (not shoot!) every pol who's taken NRA cash? NRA funneled Russian money to the Tromp campaign. NRA are traitors. Get rope.

There are some trying to turn the tide. Its a very long hard road, I know. But nothing worth doing is ever easy. Also there are some more and more starting to see the through the bs to know the truth about our hijacked political system.

‘They weren’t buying what he was selling’: Wayne LaPierre stopped speech to ask young conservatives why they weren’t cheering

SNBC’s Joe Scarborough called out NRA frontman Wayne LaPierre for attacking law enforcement as part of his broad strategy to scare Americans into buying more guns.

The “Morning Joe” host showed portions of the NRA executive vice president’s speech Thursday at the Conservative Political Action Conference, where LaPierre stoked fear and anger against the government and law enforcement — as he has after other high-profile gun massacres.

“Wayne LaPierre and the NRA, they’ve now spent the past 30 years, I guess, 40 years slandering the men and women who were actually fighting every day and on the front lines in our fight against radical Islamic terror,” Scarborough said. “This is what he thinks of those people.”

“The room was not with Wayne LaPierre yesterday,” Peters said. “Actually, at one point he stopped and he said, ‘I sense it’s a little quiet out there.’ It was quiet, he said, because they must be scared and all gun owners should be. But the reason they were quiet is because they weren’t buying what he was selling.”

Why didn't they cheer? Because you are an asshole Wayne!

Fox News host flips out on Parkland teens mocking ‘adults’ like Marco Rubio — and the backlash is spectacular

Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Friday echoed a familiar right-wing talking point about the Parkland school shooting survivors, criticizing them for talking—presumably disrespectfully—“to and about adults.”

Ingraham was reacting to a Thursday tweet by Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School junior Sarah Chadwick suggesting, “WE should change the names of AR-15 to ‘Marco Rubio’ because they are so easy to buy.”

Lil' Marco>:caning: <School Girl Aha ha ha!:D

Like-minded people tend to group together geographically. Then they have children who grow to have completely different minds.

It's fascinating to watch.
