No, but that sounds awesome!!

What do eat for breakfast?

Oatmeal with fruit and nuts is the standard. But if I have a guest, I've been known to make the cliche pancake or two. Complete with peanut butter.

it depends on the cheese, my mood, whether or not we're having olives. As a general rule, I like drier wines with cheese.

In what situations do you like to serve appetizers?

Generally, when I'm hosting something, I like to serve appetizers. Even if there is a rather full dinner. We like to chat and drink and such as the dinner gets prepared, the appetizers provide the "center" for that.
They don't have to be fancy, cheese and crackers and wine is often just perfect.

What is the most romantic gesture you've ever received ? (e.g. help VD is coming up and I need ideas )

Received......once I got some socks. All black. 3 pack for $10.00 . I was thrilled. Been wearing the same socks for two weeks. It was a welcome change.

What was the most romantic thing you have ever given for Valentines?

I can't remember any gifts for v day.

What's the worst v day gift you got?

I guess the worst for me was...nothing...I got nothing, from anyone. Admittedly, I wasn't in a relationship, so, I didn't really expect anything. I guess that was the worst though too. I didn't even expect anything.

Should we force ourselves to always be "romantic" on valentines day?

No. My opinion. Yours may vary. But I much prefer the spontaneous, unexpected flowers or small gifts.

Do you buy valentine's gifts for your kids and parents, or just your sweetheart?

I think if you are in a relationship you have to make an effort to acknowledge the "holiday"...but the day shouldn't change who you are or how you interact with your partner. Romance should be something that you want to have and feel a need to express...never forced.

Do you consider yourself romantic?

Kids yes, sometimes (Mrs. Sailor always does, I jump in by signing the card!)

I try.... The question really is, does "she" consider me romantic. I try.

What is the most romantic thing you've ever done for someone?

Do you consider yourself romantic?

I would say so.

What is the most romantic thing done for you not on V day

I gave him a book by a French philosopher on God... Because it combined both of us perfectly as I studied French and he studied philosophy and religion...

I would say so.

When husband was in the Navy when we were dating I would send care packages all the time that included his favorite things (music, books, snacks...etc.). He was at sea for Halloween and I sent trick or treat bags for all his friends :)

Are you a good listener?
