Oh Canada .....

On the marge of Lake Laberge.
Right now?

We were there a few years ago. Drove from Arizona to Chiapas to Honduras to California to Alaska to Arizona to California, stopping in Whitehorse for a week of repairs after a reckless Canuck driver whacked us. He was more trouble than the Zapatista rebels threatening to kill us. But I digress. We camped on the marge of Lake Laberge for a couple nights, next to a creepy German priest taking his usual vacation. August weather was nice.

Glad we're not there now.

Yeah, the river is open at Dawson, so the Yukon Quest is crossing the lake ice.

I've camped on the marge in July of 1977. It was very nice.

In Nunavut, where Inuit make up 85% of the population, Canada delivers $8,189 per francophone for language programs, while providing $186 per Inuktut speaker. That's 44 times more spending on French than on Inuktut.

Oh, my!
