An Illinois judge ruled today that taxpayers in the Midwestern state must pay for abortions. The state judge refused to issue an injunction blocking a new state law forcing Illinois residents to fund abortions with our taxpayer dollars.

I have no problems with abortion, BUT: If you want one, YOU pay for it!

And if you're not able?

If you have the kid and have no income? The state still pays. A whole lot more.

It's Illinois. They're bankrupt. Why not continue to drive taxpayers to other states? Eventually, they're going to demand Federal money to finance their public sector employee Ponzi schemes. The everyone will get to pay for the abortions of the indigent too helpless to flee and too uneducated to use birth control.

I think he's talking about Prisons, but I'm not sure.

So the free birth control pills are just too much work to take, save time and fix the woman so she can't get knocked up anymore solves two problems and worth paying for.

So you won't pay for an abortion, but you'll pay for a tubal ligation plus an abortion?

Exactly, along with negative population growth.

It's easy to be generous with other peoples money.

How Illinois became America's most messed-up state

Illinois is on the verge of becoming America's first state with a junk credit rating. The financial mess is the inevitable result of spending more on pensions and services than the state could afford -- then covering it up with reckless budget tricks.

After decades of historic mismanagement, Illinois is now grappling with $15 billion of unpaid bills and an unthinkable quarter-trillion dollars owed to public employees when they retire.

The budget crisis has forced Illinois to jack up property taxes so high that people are leaving in droves. Illinois may soon have to take the unprecedented step of cutting off sales of lottery tickets because the state won't be able to pay winners.
