I have a friend that is the Dept head of the produce department of a major supermarket chain.
She said people get especially mean over sweet potatoes and avocados.

lol well of course....since I worked retail it's traditionally my day to go shopping...lol

My favorite story ever was the time she told me about how there was a food fight in the produce department because the marshmallows weren't by the sweet potatoes.
1st, Cinnamon and honey and butter go on sweet potatoes, maybe some pecans, not marshmallows.
2nd. A FOOD FIGHT started by grown ass adults because they didn't get their way.
3rd. There were pictures. It was hilarious.

You're right that 80% has to go! lol

Ok! We'll hide all the cookies in the fort too.

I told you. They're crazy. It took me 20 minutes to drive down a stretch of road that normally takes 5.

After 20years working as retail management, believe me nothing shocks me.
Ive had people shopping in pj's at 3am.

Yeah, I can't imagine going out less than "presentable".

I, on the other hand, have been known to vacation under assumed names and identities. Sort of a vacation from myself.

lol long time ago when I used to be a District Manager for a catalog showroom chain I was always amazed and amused at the people that flocked in on the 24th and were pissed we were out of stock on something they wanted.

I work for the 900 lbs gorilla of retail; trust me, I have seen it all. From fights on Black Friday, to the mad scramble on Dec. 24th. I used to like going in right before closing, and watching the melee. Now I avoid it like the plague. And then on the 26th, when everyone is looking for Christmas clearance and returning all the crap they got. Thank god I'm on vacation this yr.

GOOD MORNING! I've already had a lot of caffeine. Almost 3 hours in already, I'm hoping to be done at a "normal" hour today and be home in about 12 hours.

That could be the last of the crazy days if I don't fall asleep standing up.
