The doc's response," Don't do that then!"

Don't like your hair long? Get a fuckin' hair cut. It ain't rocket science. Ok, maybe for some it's the equivalent.

I work with four individuals (all above my pay grade) and each are bald. I make a point of getting a very good hair cut every two weeks

Our CIO, makes a point of referring too me as ". . . Big hair"

As a point of reference, my hair is longer than most, but not beyond my ears. And, it's always noticed by our visitors

I love long hair on men. It automatically makes them like 2 or 3 points higher on the attractiveness scale in my mind. Well, unless the hairline is heavily receding, then I'd just shave it if I were them. Of course, I am the middle aged chick who currently has purple hair, so my opinion is often different from the norm. In the end, wear your hair how you want.

No I haven't tried pulling it back, you can't get such ties
easily here. Pink girly ones, can't be handling that.

Elastic bands yes, but again it looks dirty and scruffy.
I want to look tidy.

I had one for awhile. Not as cool or fun as I thought it would be. It became annoying. Some liked it. Then I started going bald. Then I decided to start shaving my head. I loved shaving it, but it was high maintenance and time consuming. Even more people liked it bald, especially women. Now I tend to keep it short, mostly crewcut (whenever I think I need it). I stopped fussing over it long ago. Now I'm grooming my goatee and like it. When I get tired of that, I'll just say "fuck it" again. Then go back to the daily habit of shaving.

i've had long hair twice in my life. the first time it was to my waist and i loved it, only got it cut to find a job and "fit in". a few years ago, after i stopped working i let it grow again for two years until it was past my shoulders. it was as annoying as hell and i kept it in a ponytail most of the time just to keep it out of my face. also, i didn't like looking in the mirror and seeing a 500 year old peruvian mummy staring back at me. i had it cut off very short and i've kept it that way since. if i had my druthers, i'd shave my head daily but the one time i did that i wound up looking like a serial killer and frightening small children. i've thought of growing it out again, just to ear lobe length as i've seen a few older men who look good with that but i probably won't. i need things to be easy and functional in my old age.

Don't really care about long, straight hair, but a thick, curly halo always drives me nuts.
