it doesn't say that in any version. And once that you're talking about are there are no different
Genesis 17:10-14 This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. You shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you. Throughout your generations every male among you shall be circumcised when he is eight days old, including the slave born in your house and the one bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring. Both the slave born in your house and the one bought with your money must be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh an everlasting covenant. Any uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.’

Proverbs 13:24 Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

Proverbs 23:13-14 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die. Punish them with the rod and save them from death.

That's not cutting up and beating your children. Removing the foreskin on your boy doesn't lower sexual function or pleasure, it's a covenant with God that Israel had/has. Christians technically don't have to be circumcised, but most choose to. Spanking is not the same as beating. Yes I believe in spanking. That's the problem with most of these spoiled, arrogant, millennials is that most of them were never spanked. Proverbs 13:24 is a great proverb. By not spaking or punishing your children, you are spoiling them and making them hard to be around. People won't like them, they may even end up in Jail.

They don't in fact Xfrodo. The majority of American christians are circumcised, the overwhelming majority of christians world wide are not.

By the way, where do you think Roy Moore will be going when he dies?

You've been drinking too much blood of Christ. Nobody spanks with a rod. Using a rod means beating. Removing a foreskin means cutting.

Where's the Bible verse that says you mustn't circumcise your sons because it's cruel and unnecessary? And what kind of God delivers children to us that require beating to make them work properly?

spanking is not beating. Circumcision is not cutting up somebody. It is removing a small piece of skin which has no effect on sexual function. I spank my kids with a paint stir stick when they were younger. I wasn't beating them. To beat someone means to abuse them. Circumcision is a Jewish custom not a Christian Gentile one. It has been adopted by many Christians but it's not religiously necessary. The reason for spanking not beating but spanking is because it corrects children causes them to behave the way that they are supposed to unlike so many of the kids in the world today that are lost their minds due to liberalism.

So God makes people liberal unless you beat the crap out of them. I see.

The picture of the shepherd and the sheep is used in the bible in several instances to show beautiful relationships. In Psalms 23 the example is that the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.... In the same Psalm are the words thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. WHAT:confused:

When a Shepherd was in the field it was customary to carry the bare minimum equipment the shepherd would need to kept the sheep from harm. (Rod and staff). Sheep were very valuable assets so flocks were well taken care of. It was not uncommon for shepherds to put the sheep in caves and sleep at the doorway at night to keep the sheep safe and the dangerous predators out. He would lay down his life in other words. A damaged or mamed sheep was a liability. Children are more valuable than sheep.

A good shephard discipled. They kept the sheep on the path that they were supposed to take. Kept them out of harm's Way.

If God is love, and I believe He is, he would not condone beating. Jeremiah 23:1 States woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture.

As to circumcision, it doesn't have to take place now because God took that physical covenant and made it a spiritual one through Jesus and the Holy spirit.

Make a case for why any of us would want to spend an eternity with you in Heaven. Or with people who think the way you do.

Use both sides of the paper, if necessary.

What was that saying, "You go to Heaven for the weather, but Hell for the company."

Anyway, if I do go to Hell, I'm sure that she'll just send me back.

(If you don't get that joke, you know nothing about the Aesir.)

Please see my essays, then tell me where I quote the bible that I am in error. BTW, all of my quotes point out discrepancies in the bible.

Do I know the history of all of the people who put their faith in God/Jesus. Let's see, there's all of the popes, the last one made a saint, I believe, said the church made an error in burning Giordano Bruno alive, but no mention of all the Cathars, etc. Oh, then there's Zwingli, the famous Swiss who also cooked many who didn't believe in his way of belief. Then, in his time, there was also Calvin who may have tried to outdo Zwingli, or was it the other way around. Then there were those famous Pilgrims who gave us Thanksgiving and said to promote peace with the Native Americans, but had no compunction in burning "witches" among their own kind, and on and on.

How about those rich preachers worth millions? Do they gather it to dispense it to the poor, even unto giving their cloaks to those who have none. Or what about the famous ones of late who screwed those they shouldn't have messed with. Do you need an itemization?

BTW, how many errors in the Book of Daniel (which started the idea of the Resurection, and who Jesus quoted a few time).

Oh, never mind, you'll have your hands, er, eyes, full reading all the stuff that is never talkied about in your Sunday school, or preached from the pulpit.

Feel free to post your findings here.

Peace, and may you too learn of the truth of the lies.

Psstt....don't tell him facts. They confuse him.

Jesus was actually a practicing Jew and preached to jews to not turn away from Judaism. It was only years after his death that he became a "christian" because his followers, in part, didn't want to be slaughtered with the rest of the jews when Jerusalem was destroyed. And they were trying to attract gentiles to the religion because Jesus didn't fulfill his promises, he was executed like all the other messiah's.

Also, the whole thing about the jews crying for his crucifixion is BS. Pilate didn't give a shit about what the jews wanted, he was brutal to them and was actually removed by Rome as governor for being too brutal.

Many claimed to be messiah's, or were called messiah. They all failed to deliver Jews from Roman rule, both before and after Jesus. So yeah, technically they weren't messiah's.

Yeah, I mean, seriously, the most brutal and cruel, the worst Roman governor, a fucking Samnite with ties to Sejanus, and people are supposed to think that this guy was somehow interested in innocence or guilt? Besides, when you take a whip to the Temple money changers (by the way, I kinda like that part of the story, stick it to the leeches!), you create enough upheaval to more than justify crucifixion in the eyes of Rome. Seriously, and besides, since when did Roman governors take their legal wives with them to dangerous provinces? They didn't, trust me. It was considered bad form and very risky to the women, anyway. Also, since when was crucifixion hastened, when the whole point was death by privation and exposure?

Most of the crucified typically just rotted away on the crosses and to Pilate, this was just another day at the office, anyway. No dilemma. No agonizing over the choice. Just a quick, "flog and crucify" kinda deal.

How gracious. We aren't obliged to hack our kids with knives. Maybe someday God will tell us that we shouldn't.

Phrodeau,

He did. The answer is Jesus

The New Covenant (or New Testament) is the promise that God makes with humanity that He will forgive sin and restore fellowship with those whose hearts are turned toward Him. Jesus Christ is the mediator of the New Covenant, and His death on the cross is the basis of the promise (Luke 22:20). The New Covenant was predicted while the Old Covenant was still in effect—the prophets Moses, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel all allude to the New Covenant.

Under the New Covenant, we are given the opportunity to receive salvation as a free gift (Ephesians 2:8–9). Our responsibility is to exercise faith in Christ, the One who fulfilled the Law on our behalf and brought an end to the Law’s sacrifices through His own sacrificial death. Through the life-giving Holy Spirit who lives in all believers (Romans 8:9–11), we share in the inheritance of Christ and enjoy a permanent, unbroken relationship with God (Hebrews 9:15).

Jesus talked about the New Covenant in the Last Supper. You can Google New Covenant find a lot of verses as well.

It's a new day. I sure am thankful.

As I recall, Jesus said, "suffer the children to come unto me, so I can take a knife to their genitals."

I know I'm going to heaven. I found Jesus when I first began having sex and now I scream his name every time I have a religeous experience.
