Not sure what happens when its all over. I guess I sort of hope I come back as an Owl...

Sigh...friend you don't reincarnate. When you die, your soul lives on forever. You will always be you. The issue is whether you will choose Jesus free gift of salvation and live eternally with Him in heaven, to rule and reign or if you will choose eternal prison. Choose life friend. Read this first post and pray that prayer to God from your heart.

What was the Resurrection for? Don't our dead bodies return to life? Won't we all join Jesus in Heaven by taking the same route?

There was no soul involved when Jesus ascended. His whole body went to Heaven.

Yep. There are more than 1 resurrection. There is also the rapture of the Church, which is a type of resurrection. There is also more than 1 judgement. The believers are judged (rewarded) for their works for Christ, the non believers are judged (punished for their sins) and the nations are judged (For their treatment of God's nation, Israel)

Da 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Believer's Judgement:

2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Judgement of Non Believers:

Re 20:11 ¶ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. {hell: or, the grave}
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

What do you suppose Jesus meant when He said that he was the resurrection and the life?

Are you saying that Trump is claiming to be Jesus?

That would be even more meglomanaical than comparing the poor reception of one's cut and paste internet blatherings to the persecution of actual disciples of Jesus, the Christ.

Que, just want to tell you that God loves you and desires that you would turn to Christ for salvation, believing in your heart that He died on the cross and rose from the dead for your sins.

He wanted me to tell you to judge not that ye be not judged and that He died on the cross and rose from the dead for your sin of pride.

Then why are you judging me if you believe that?

No judgement here. Just passing along The Word.

Why are you interested in the salvation offered by Christ if His teachings make you so uncomfortable? Maybe you should try following Christ's example instead of harranguing others to utter your rote prayer?

Praying for your redemption on this Sabbath day, my brother.

Who's to say your soul won't be passed onto another body? Or into a new born baby? The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Christ teachings don't make me uncomfortable they obviously make you uncomfortable or you wouldn't be so upset about me posting the gospel and telling people about Him. I don't observe to the Sabbath day because it's not biblical. That is for the Jews only under the law. Read Romans.

You are certainly not "posting the gospel." You are merely offering instant salvation. The gospel as taught by Jesus and his recognized (not you) disciples is a bit more involved than what you have laid out. You have demonstrated your repeated disinterest in even the commandment that Jesus himself said was the most important.

Why have any commandments at all if your plan is all that it takes?

Riddle me this:

What would be the point of a plan to have "salvation" in the life to come if it has no impact whatsoever on your life here?

But it does have a great deal of impact. Those who believe that their every sin is absolved will take the opportunity to commit the most heinous acts, secure in the knowledge that they still get to go to Heaven.

Which is why salvation does not come in the manner he suggests.

For once I'm mostly in agreement with you. His brand of Salvation suggest exactly that.

the caveat is that people are going to do what people are going to do irrespective of their belief systems. You could just as easily say those that do not believe in a life to come will do whatever they want in this life since there is no punishment in the life to come. That also would be somewhat inaccurate.

According to his fly-by-night hucksterism, the Puritans were simply wasting their effort and good works and industry. Prior to his televangelist brand of Christianity most Christians tend to be of the school of saved only through grace AFTER all you can do. The only point of having a judgment at all would be to adjudicate whether that particular person put in the sort of effort that was available to them according to their own strengths and challenges.

I have a hard time believing he's earning any brownie points in Heaven by simply going someplace where he expects to have a negative reception in hopes that someone will persecute him. Basically he's hashtag with a side order of excessive religiousity. In a sane world, I could easily have him committed.

I am preaching The Gospel of Grace, which is for today. This is the Gospel of Grace:

Ro 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
12 ¶ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"

This thread immediately made me think of Pascal's wager.

Let us then examine this point, and say, "God is, or He is not." But to which side shall we incline? Reason can decide nothing here. There is an infinite chaos which separated us. A game is being played at the extremity of this infinite distance where heads or tails will turn up. What will you wager?
