That doesn't necessarily mean "armed with a gun" because Mace(tm) is considered a weapon in many jurisdictions and is banned. Knives, especially knives over a certain length (usually six inches,) are also considered weapons and are selectively banned in many jurisdictions.

IMHO, banning Mace, Pepper spray, knives of any length, or any other "weapon" is a violation of the Second Amendment -- as all are "arms" as the authors of the SA would have understood them.

I'm literally not responding to any more of these 'arguments'. No one has presented anything new, and it's just becoming increasingly offensive and dismissive of my actual real-life experiences with sexual assault.

I quite clearly have a position here, which I've had for 50 years and have thought through pretty thoroughly (including in the course of earlier of discussions in this thread), and am unlikely to change, in spite of some pretty convincing arguments earlier in this thread. Other people quite clearly have their own positions, and I'm aware that nothing I say is going to change that.
I feel safer living without guns on my person and in my general environment. Y'all obviously feel safer in the opposite situation. Let's just leave it at that.

Take the 1 000 000 people in Texas that carry a gun.. let them form a nation.. and look at the crime rate ... it would be one of the lowest in the world!
Definition of mass Shootings... 3 or more dead, counting the bad guy..in the USA, In Australia.. Has to be 5 or more... not counting the Bad guy!
Here in Canada when you hear about gun crime... you will hear about the drugs and gang bangers way more often then not!
Not 100% on this.. But the suicide rate in Japan is about 2 times higher then the USA... but they have next to know guns!
I don't think just anyone should be allowed to have a gun... Then.. I don't think just anyone should be allowed to vote. But the one thing I don't like about the USA is that you can buy a gun with out proving you know how to use it or store it.
You take away all the guns.. and only people that fallow the law will do so!
Hell.. you can make you own firearms in a machine shop... or 3D printer now!
