Yeah, look at all this shit.

Who dah fuck woulda think it???

And they'll miss all these-here tits and such when they drum up a b00t for the Watmeister.

How would we ever see tits again if your hillbilly ass got the boot?

Don't let the weasels get ya!

I am asked him where's my motor, he said it was eaten by snakes!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Best night's sleep in quite a while, and I wish I knew the formula, because I'd like to repeat it regularly.

Got a bit of laundry going - none got done over the otherwise busy weekend. And the cat are representing this morning. That's always entertaining, too.

Positive, productive, and helpful. IT's going to be an adequate day at least.

Home. A couple of errands to run. It's cold and rainy out - the heat just kicked in.

Today was better'n yesterday. Advances, nothing amazing. I'll still have a couple of days next week before I can put this job to bed. I'd rather push it into its grave and backfill the bitch, but my opinion isn't required

The housemate got back with her new free car, trouble-free. I'm impressed. Fix a couple of minor things and it should do her well for awhile.

Her cat is here, too, so there's New Cat Turmoil. Film at 11 . . . .

Free cars are the best. Even the ones that your labor exceeds the value.

I've made a friend in this little cowboy town and he has not had a vehicle for quite some time. So when I'm in town I give him rides hither and yon. He's grateful for them and not the least bit demanding of my time.

He's got a cousin in a trailer park in an even smaller town even farther from the middle of nowhere.

Some lady took superb care of her trailer for the past 30 years until she passed away leaving it behind and eventually no one in the family wanted it and it went to the owners of the park who don't want it either. the owners of the park offered the no account cousin the task of getting rid of those two trailers and doing with them whatever they will as long as they leave the lot. no account cousin subcontracted it to my friend who is tough as nails but rather frail in condition. he put in two hard weeks of labor tearing down one of the trailers and cleaning out the other one moving it and getting it ready to move back to his town. the deal was supposed to be that he was going to end up with the old ladies trailer and as payment for the work for which the cousin was getting some kind of compensation he was going to get a Subaru that needed a wheel bearing.

after doing all that work the cousin started dodging and missing him. the cousin tried to sell the Subaru now fixed out from under him, and moved his own trailer out of his spot and move the now cleaned up old lady trailer into his spot.

eventually my friend did get a slightly better than the trailer he currently has and the "free" subaru. the no account cousin was permitted to live.

sometimes a free car is a lot of work.

OK, that's funny.

Part of the range I'm associated with is dedicated to law enforcement, military, and security people. The target frames for the pistol are 2' x 3' in dimension. When law enforcement and the security people are out on the range for qualification or training you can count on some of the frames being blown away. That pic. you posted looks like it was shot by an expert compared to some of the shit I've seen.

To me, any car that stops when I push the pedal doesn't " need brakes"

When I was young I had a Volkswagen with twice the horsepower it was given in Wolfsburg, but the same marginal drum brakes. I've also driven million pound haul trucks downhill, so I put more value in planning ahead than I do in having good brakes.

My midlife crisis car, on the other hand, only weighed 2000 pounds and had the disc brakes off a 3800 pound Acura Integra. It would stop yesterday if you needed it too.

The company car the other day made some god-awful noise out of the blue. I woke the owner up early bright and early on a Saturday morning because the sounds that was making suggested that I should not move it more than a foot or two I moved it much more than that just to get it off the road but it sounded atrocious. I figured I would bug him because he lives reasonably close to where I thought I was broken down and has access to a trailer that we could trailer that thing on.

While I was waiting for him I had a thought and I backed the car up slowly. What ever had gotten jammed between the rotor and the pad fell out and it was nice and quiet after. I don't even want to look at what that rotor probably look like.

Happy Wednesday!!! It's payday, so this half of the month's bills are paid up. MOney left over - more than a cheeseburger. Savings added to. Trust untouched. Trust me on that one . . . .

Brakes are fairly cheap and relatively easy, too. Amazon can have much of what you need. YouTube can have directions, or after you've done a few sets, they're fairly similar. I'm going to order a front brake rebuild set and hubs, too, for the Chrysler, since it's now back to sitting primarily, and weekend use.

The truck gets an oil change a bit early. I'm up to top-of-the-line oils and filters any more. Oil is cheaper than steel.

Plotting today's work load based on current events . . . .

It's been a long day already. There will be a lot of ducking bitching for the remainder of the day.

In other news I chatted with an old friend last night, he got the job he wanted and is serving his two weeks notice now. We talked way too late last night, and his wife finally told him to get off the phone :)

As long as his wife didn't tell him to hang up on "that bitch."

Home. I'm stuck on this job into next week because circumstances. And the PM even asked me today if I'd require a couple of days off and apologized for having forgotten.

And it's still raining, and it's rained all day. The ex-housemate is giddy about this election. I was looking for feaster pictures. I found some.

I need to rearrange this room . . . .

I rearranged and tossed some things today, managed to lose a cord somewhere for one of the monitors.

And no, his wife likes me, we've all be friends for years. This new job will be a bit less money but he will be on straight day shift with weekends off, have better benefits and an expense account.

The cat I took in two months ago is doing great, I took him in for some follow-up tests and for an old man he's in good health.
