The inflamation reaction has spread from my foot to my fingers. Bloodless, cold, white flesh. Looks like candle wax. Stinging pain. Last object touched- box of borax powder. The last two days I have had red blotches on my palms, that were painful, burning, itching, sensitive.

My heart is in constant afib (atrial fibrillation) now, my bloodflow so bad that I can barely walk across the room without being winded. The cardiologist will try to restart me next week, get me back into sinus rhythm, but I dunno. Will I live to have the pacemaker conversation with her?

After the reset comes the next eyeball laser surgery. I was pretty numb for the first two operations but the last three hurt. And the second needs to be redone. Then they'll try to get me a hearing aid. And my knees are giving out again.

I googled that but it's still a mystery. Anyway, I was hauled to Emergency yesterday morning and spent a sleepless night in hospital. Diagnostics are good -- i.e. they've no clue yet. Stress tests today; then, we'll see.

I think of author Robert Bloch writing,

Maybe I should gather a few extras.

thør, there are serious medical matters that cause me to consult with conventional doctors. This is not one of them.

I was alarmed, because it was something new, and it shocked me.

Thanks to all here and in PMs for kind thoughts. I'm back home now.

Today's daylong stress testing (horrible chemicals) was most uncomfortable. The results: nil. I'm fully checked out. All diagnostics say nothing's wrong... but my ticker doesn't tick right. A few options ahead: 1) the electric reset / jumpstart. If that doesn't work then 2) ablation, nicking away dead heart tissue. If that doesn't work then 3) pacemaker. If that doesn't work then 4) send donations to the California Native Plant Society.

And the best to you, Colonel. So far I've not had to deal with "major surgery": general anesthesia, body draped and cut open, body-snatchers waiting in the wings, etc. Consciously, I don't feel stressed or anxious, mostly resigned to further physical insults. My body thinks otherwise when it doubles my pulse and blood pressure.

I maintain an even strain. I'll be fixed. My heart and eyes will function as well as possible. Probably obtain a hearing aid too. Then wonder what portions of me will fail next. My collection of medical business cards keeps growing.

I am a wee bit curious as to just how many eyes Hypoxia has.

The inflammation reactions sounds like Reynaud's, which basically removes/lowers the blood from your extremities. When this happens, be very careful with your hands and feet as it's very easy to hit something by accident and cause hairline fractures. You should see my foot xrays...

Red blotches could be from Borax.

Ah! Thank you, Noor. I have broken so many of my fingers and toes, I have lost track. I am glad that you have pointed out the increased chance of fractures. I do not need more.



The bloodless symptom lasted for a day. My foot did not remain colorless, but never returned to normal. It looks ten years younger than my "normal foot." The skin is so smooth. But, it gets cold very fast.

Homeopathy is such an odd thing. My fractured toe that flopped like a sock full of flesh decided to knit itself into a toe, about the time my foot decided to be strange.

Thank you thank you. Events are moving along. The stress test was last Friday. Nothing since then, but I'm off to the cardiologist tomorrow, then the cardiovert (jumpstart / reset) a week after, then Thanksgiving with the kids, followed immediately by more eyeball laser surgery. Might as well throw in a nose job while I'm there, too.

Wow, mast cell disorders can cause all sorts of interesting cardiac symptoms, I hope they get to the bottom of this and when they do there is a clear and quick treatment/

You beat me to it, my ex-wife and two children have this. Abnormalities in thinness of blood flow/clotting and, how they discribed, was their extremities just "shit off" become white and numb and there is not blood flow. In fact, the ex had to take blood thinners throughout her 3 pregnancies. Apparently to block against the blood clots.

They say it is descendent from the Vikings. They built up a tolerance for fast blood colting for as much fighting as they did. My ex wife was very Norwegian.

Just food for thought... Research.

My latest, if anyone cares: A few bureaucratic doctor visits, then off to hospital in a few days where they'll 1) poke around inside my heart to see what's there, and 2) give it a jolt, hope to re-shock it back to normal ('sinus') rhythm. If that doesn't work, then we'll talk about ablation (scraping away dead heart cells), or a pacemaker, or actual open-heart surgery. I'm not much looking forward to that last. But it'll give me more time to write.
