This was on the news, apparently, the small Nissan that the motorcyclist kicked had moved into his lane, almost hitting him.
What was a scooter doing in a commuter lane? If he followed the Nissan into the commuter lane just to kick it, he's a dumber driver than the idiot that cut him off in the first place.

Notice the doubled double yellow lines separating the inside lane? Crossing that would be illegal. Done recklessly, it almost deserves a kick as well as a ticket. Do earlier images on that video show a lane violation?

I've not driven that stretch of CA14 north of Los Angeles since last year but that inside lane looks like a toll lane so the cycle (not a scooter) had every right to be there. Cyclist kicking the car might be misdemeanor interference with a vehicle or some similar infraction. The car driver trying to run the bike into the center divider attempted vehicular manslaughter and deserves hard time.

I'm thinking about the poor bastard, minding his own business in the middle lane, that ended up upside down.

Hope he wore his straps. His bills will be paid when his lawyers ream the Nissan's felonious driver. Hope the latter has no family because their lives would be fucked now.

Meanwhile, I hear L.A. area traffic has eased somewhat lately. Handguns are no longer generally used as turn signals. That practice has moved to Miami, right?
