I knew a Pete and Elle long ago, in the Fillmore ghetto in San Francisco. They were Sioux Indians living on tribal dole, filthy hard-ass junkies, quite unpleasant. Elle had a habit of throwing televisions out of upper-floor windows and screaming at the dodging nigras on the street below. I left before the shootings started.

I think anyone who's been here long enough and pays attention to what people say is going to notice the secret relationships and interactions that live and breath between the lines in what is unsaid.

It's like Jazz music that way....the spaces between the notes are what gives the music its life.
