This thread fails on two fronts:

First, the widespread belief that Weinstein is some sort of big deal in Democratic politics. Donations of a couple million dollars over a 20-year period is not exactly Koch Brothers territory.

And second, there seems to be an impression that he has some sort of liberal cheering section here. I couldn't possibly care less about the man. Investigate and let the chips fall where they may. It doesn't reflect on anyone except the perpetrator.


As trolls go, this one is dumb enough to be a Politics Board regular.

He was the driving force behind Bill Clinton's legal defense fund on this exact same issue.

Never mind his own personal donations he was a major bundler in all of the various Clinton Presidential campaigns. He also was single-handedly responsible for most of the celebrity endorsements for Democrats.

I'm not very active on Facebook but I am on Twitter a bit more often. I don't follow people who only post memes so it's totally reasonable that I don't see a lot of them. From what I'm reading, some of the women didn't want to- and they didn't. And some wanted to enough at the time to do it and get big parts in big movies. I'm not following this very closely, so maybe there are women who didn't want to and were fired from parts Weinstein had given them, but I haven't seen that yet. Is that because those women don't exist? Or because they are still 'nobodies' because Weinstein didn't make them stars?
