US fails to qualify for Russia 2018, deliberate?

I didn't watch the game but apparently the US soccer team lost to Trinidad and Tobago and therefore will not qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

I haven't investigated this at all but I have to wonder if there wasn't some deliberate throwing of games at the demand of the CIA or the deep state so that the US team would not be in Russia resulting in less US TV coverage or interest.

In which case there wouldn't have been much point in the U. S. beating Panama 4 - 0 last Friday, huh? Odd that the deep state would take such an elevated risk of an off night by T & T, when the Yanks could have just tanked earlier.

Most major soccer nations fail to qualify sometimes. This year it looks as though 2x winners Argentina will not be there.

On the other hand the smallest qualifier ever has got through to the finals - Iceland. Good on em.
