Well the DA in NYC had this recording and declined to prosecute, siting credibility issues with the victim. (The woman in question went straight to the police after the assault; the recording is her going back for proof) Shortly thereafter Weinstein's attorney "donated" $10k to the DA.

When you compare her actions to those that took the quid-pro-quo, why isn't this woman getting worldwide accolades?

As I understand it she simply went for criminal charges she wasn't looking to sue and get rich there's no way you can impugn her motives.

In light of all of the admitted but covered up misbehavior you can't possibly question her veracity.

First, the widespread belief that Weinstein is some sort of big deal in Democratic politics. Donations of a couple million dollars over a 20-year period is not exactly Koch Brothers territory.

And second, there seems to be an impression that he has some sort of liberal cheering section here. I couldn't possibly care less about the man. Investigate and let the chips fall where they may. It doesn't reflect on anyone except the perpetrator.
