I've been thinking about going all internet TV, but I want live channels. Anyone have these and have any comments?

Thanks

25 views and no responses. I guess we're all old and set in our ways.

I have netflix (which is a christmas gift from family) and amazon prime.
I also use peer-to-peer, but I don't recommend it if you are a fucking moron.

My question is really about streamers with LIVE channels. I have Netflix and Amazon Prime already.

But thanks for being condescending while not answering the question asked.

I use kodi player with an exodus addon. Free. Not live but you have e everything within about an hour if airtime. Bonus, free. Double bonus. Movies. Triple bonus. Movies still in theaters.

PS. Use a vpn.

I guess a pity post could be interpreted as condescending.

Perhaps you should try asking in the GB Lounge, where the climate is safer for people who only want compassionate and sympathetic advise.

As someone who is works with content creators, I'm not comfortable with any of the "grey area" solutions, and live broadcast is still something I like to have.

I agree with this.

I have Netflix and Hulu Plus, which cover a lot of what I want to watch. I do enjoy being able to binge watch a season of a show and Hulu offers many shows the next day. I have added CBS All Access this year as well as HBO Now and find them easy to use and watch live tv on CBS. I spend $45 monthly for these and watch everything I want to watch.

I use a roku for streaming.

A friend of mine uses Sling and loves it but I don't have personal experience. I nearly ordered Directv Now when it was new but the small print bothered me, disclaimers made it sound like they could raise the price at any time.

I have a ROKU 4K that I use for Amazon and Poker Go. I am going to try Netflix through it, because my TV is older than the ROKU, but Netflix is usually fine with the Smart TV.

How was the actual streaming with Direct now? I use Direct TV "traditional" now.

Netflix only here. I might go for Hulu sometime in the future. Dunno.

Got so much media from downloading that I haven't watched yet and doing more would just glut myself, I reckon.

I grew up in the House of TV. I can't not have broadcast, I don't always want to choose a movie or show, but want to have "Oh that looks cool, or X is on and I haven't seen it in a while." I also fall asleep with the TV on most nights, so I want "traditional" TV with streaming options as well.

I know the feeling. In one way or another, I've never known a life that wasn't connected to a TV or computer screen for at least half of a day. Except for the times summer camping with family in the wilderness. :D

I try to keep things basic and simple since it's just me here, but I've been musing on catching up to the rest of modern society and getting a jumbo flatscreen to remote connect to my main iMac and use that for most media watching. Figure if I get that, then might as well exploit its purpose fully and jump into the streaming cloud.
