The way it looks, hashtag occasionally creates and posts with a new account. Laurel or somebody smacks them down whack a mole style before they get too far.

Okay, I get that a bunch of you are enthused about somebody getting banned, but I'm not clear on what he got banned for. For mentioning that bad things happen to pedophiles in prison? If so, will I be banned now? Or is there something else?

It's one of the hard and fast rules. And for an adult porn site that would like to keep running, it's a good thing to avoid even the slightest appearance of any association with that subject matter.

How did the quote cited above 'promote' pedophilia in any way? Quite the opposite. He was clearly ill-wishing a pedophile.

Whatever-his-name-is's posts are full of anger and prejudice, but he's hardly unique for that around here. It seems to me that this is pretty clearly a case of using a very distorted technicality to punish someone that many people dislike. It's part of a pattern I see here of making personal attacks rather than addressing the points that posters raise. Whoever has the support of the owners/mods will eventually prevail and make this a 'safe space' for their own perspectives, but I suspect it will come at the cost of making this a boring venue. And yes, I think for most people on the site, the constant simian poo-slinging is pretty boring, whether it's about politics or sexual preferences (which are not easy to separate, IMHO).

My two cents here is that the site and its users would be better served if the mods were to actively enforce some basic civility, rather than allowing every discussion to be brought down to schoolyard bullying and middle-school quality invective. I follow some political sites where this is done, and people with intensely opposed views are able to have meaningful discussions, and occasionally evolve as a result.

Not my circus, of course.

he's been here long enough to know Laurel and Manu's stance on this topic. it is not permitted on Lit, end of. it's that simple. NO DISCUSSIONS PERTAINING to it, no accusing other members of it, no stories including it. he flouts the very few rules this forum operates under, his risk.

this site is well-moderated; there are only a few forums on this site that are 'unmoderated', and they have their own feel - this includes not making flame-posts, and a whole lot of the shit-slinging you'll see on the general board. IF the tome of the general board doesn't suit you, even if you employ the ignore button provided to tailor your experience to your preferences, simply use on of the MANY other forums here.

or you could always register and post on other sites, maybe pay to belong there....

this place provides so much for so many, and it's FREE, you ingrates! :catroar:
