Maybe we could put Florida on hydraulics and then just bounce it up and down for attention at all the stop lights. Maybe get some cool neon lights for under the rim?

Easy. Epoxy-seal the bottom too.

Let's go brew coffee in the sun. If you boil the water over an eternal flame, does it last longer?

Did you mention an eternal flame ?
[ I just love the chord changes and harmonies ]

How about exporting some of the "liquid rock" spewing out near Hawaii ?

Is that a Little Havana thang? Sounds like it would be right for Texas.

Meanwhile, it's been a long hard night. I'll take my coffee by IV, please. More. Yeah, another. Ahh...

Sounds more like a SoCal thang to me. Sunday night on Fourth St in Santa Anna was the place to be way back when. I don't think you can even drive on Fourth St these days. They made it one of those promenade things.

Ok, fresh coffee and french toast for all.

It used to be a thing here, but it went out of fashion more than ten years ago.

Indeed, many. I'll just enjoy this while it lasts.

Hopefully I've delayed enough that I won't kill the buzz, but I never heard Santana coming out of those cars. They played Mexican pop (which I usually don't mind), or urban music. Hydraulically enhanced cars aren't' really a thing here anymore, except at parades and car shows.

We're too dry for things to rust very much, so we see various kinds of customized old cars all the time. Some are very cool. I went for a walk after lunch last week and found an old man (well, probably older than I am) driving a 1930's vintage open-top hot rod around the park. I guessed that the girl in the passenger seat was his granddaughter, and she seemed to be having a good time.

EDIT: Ah, poo. I guess you have to click through to see it.

I feel a blinding need to procreate.

But no tentacles, please.

Meanwhile, it's another of those early mornings. You don't need the details; neither do the bears I'll dodge in a few hours. Crows stomped along the roof earlier, grumbling to each other like old Jewish guys from Canarsie, Queens who'd retired to Palm Beach, but they're quiet now at one fucking thirty in the morning. They can sleep. I can't. But I must. What a pickle.

Hmmm, the chips and dips are gone. But we have pickles. Coffee must wait.

Has anyone tried pickled coffee?

That does not sound very - erm - appetising. Vinegar's no fun in coffee.
We have some very noisy rooks * crows round here.
The Crow - English dictionary has got as far as "Caaww".

Coffee, I think.

Coffee, I think.

The silence of the night around here. Grapefruit and banana fruit salad for breakfast and coffeeeeeeee plus more for the drive to work and I gotta run. Have a great day and watch out for those bears (west side) and hurricanes (east). I'm just waiting for the first blizzard to arrive now.

No Hurricanes, Floods, Earthquakes or Blizzards here, but we had our first significant bushfire today just north of Sydney. Total fireban tomorrow with temperatures up to 33 Celsius (91F ?) with strong northerly winds - not good at all after a very dry winter, the fire season isn't supposed to start until December.

Then on Thursday a southerly change - Temperatures will drop 30 degrees F on the coast and snow is forecast above 600M. Barmy. :)

But I had my first Mango of the season today - Yum.

In some places a fire in her bush might be a good thing or a reason to keep the bush trimmed neatly. In others it is a danger to life and limb. Istat, keep your extinguisher close at hand. Don't rub it too much. Just enough to keep it primed. ;)

Coffee! Yes, coffee.

A fire in the bush is worth two in the hand.

Oh fuck yeah, more coffee. Gotta fo to town. Gotta be coherent. More coffee.

Tonight I went for a decaf coffee with a shot of Bailey's in it.

One out of two ain't bad. :D

Shoulder has relaxed enough to do a little writing today.

Fresh coffee for the morning crowd is ready. The first one in can flip the switch.

Thank you. Just the job.
Has anyone else noticed a certain paucity when it comes to finding a suitable cardboard box to post things in ? I have to ship a camera and I cannot find a suitable box in which to post it. Of course, my local supermarket has destroyed this morning's arrivals and there's no lorry due for a while. . .

Coffee ? Ah yes, just the job.

Happy Hump Day.

Good Job on the coffee HP. Have you tried your equivalent of the UPS stores? They have all sorts of boxes. Of course, they are for sale and not free.

I spoke too soon on the shoulder.
