Looks Like Florida...

Florida gets repeatedly whacked. That's its purpose in life, to be a target for waves of people and overbuilding and weather, whack-job weather. With icecaps melting, much of Florida will submerge soon. Shoreline property owners might consider selling and moving.

Unless you're a certain that you will live to the age of Methuselah, perhaps you should revisit your understanding of the word, "soon."

Dollie

You both stay safe! kisses.
:kiss:We heard Irma was coming so moved back to Illinois 14 months ago. A son and our other home are still near Gainseville.
Take good care of Texas. We've always wanted to visit friends there but never have yet.:rose:

Geology.Com - Coastal Florida and Everglades - Sea Level Rise Map
The map clearly shows that a sea level rise of only a few meters would inundate thousands of acres of highly developed land and beach communities along Florida's Atlantic Coast, the Florida Keys, and the Florida Gulf Coast. Significant flooding and environmental change would also be experienced in the Everglades. Zoom in on Tampa Bay, Charlotte Harbor or another area to see the impact of sea level rise in more detail. Florida is a low-elevation state and would feel the impact of sea level rise associated with global climate change much more strongly than other areas.
Wikipedia - Sea Level Rise - Projections -- The projections are all over the place but more recent estimates have quick rise rates because faster-melting icecaps. I define 'soon' as within my possible lifetime, say another 30-50 years with advanced treatments. Florida-swallowing tides *could* occur by then. Soon enough for you?

I must have missed that street!

Although last time I was in West Palm Beach I saw a few that certainly wasn't wearing much!

A sea level rise of 'only a few meters would' devastate many cities around the world and destroy some countries.

'only a few meters' is a massive change.

A sustained rise of only a few inches could cause serious coastal damage.

Taking the long view...

Either you, your kids or grand kids need to relocate at about 100-300 feet plus above see level.

Future generations will be there.

I'm guessing that girlie photo has been Photocrapped. Altho I too have seen near nude gals around the streets of Florida. I really miss the days of the corner hotdog vendors and legal thongs on public beaches.

If you want to remain in Florida buy land in the middle on the hump. Soon you will have Gulf and ocean side propety.

Keep in mind all of those large snakes and gators will also move inland. Those Florida Gators around Gainesville can get ornery.

Florida is better prepared to deal with these hurricanes than Texas and Louisiana. Soil supports more water as well. The problem is where will it go next after Florida?

We lived west of Gainesville, near both the Suwannee River and the Gulf. We'd get a very hard rain and an hour later I could mow the lawn and sometimes stir up dust.

Perhaps you should revisit your choice of lingerie, Queerboi.
