The months long standoff of Chinese and Indian forces in the disputed area of the bilateral border has come to an end (or a break) and the Indian troops left, to the relief of leaders of both countries, who want to seek another term for their office this year.
It is very clear that India was trying to test the patience of China, with the secret support of the US or other western powers and that seeing through the trick of India, China has remained unstimulated by making only diplomatic efforts.
The BRICS summit which will be held in September in Xiamen, China will have the leaders of China and India on the same table to talk about international and regional problems, so if Indian force still stay in the disputed area, the relation of both sides will remain intense or worsen. And the domestic chaos in India also calls for more attention of the Indian government, so the withdrawal of Indian force is something India has to do without alternative. Chinese leaders can also be relieved from the anger from its people for slow military reaction to border dispute especially in August, in which China's armed forces celebrated their 90th founding ceremony.

Well that is good news, I suppose. I'm generally in favor of less bellicosity in international relations. :)

Yes, and India and China exchanging nukes would be bad for the environment and economy.

Faced with China's threat, India said it could handle the war of 2.5 grade (meaning China and Pakistan, as well as its own domestic problem, at the same time), but a trial of a rapist has caused so much trouble at home that it has felt the great pressure, especially Prime Minister Modi, who worries himself to be forced to step down before a real military war can be had between China and India. So he decided to withdraw the troops and found himself some time to prepare for the coming summit in China, otherwise the attendant of the great meeting will have to be his rival, nothing can be sadder than that.
