She passed Sunday Evening and funeral is Thursday.... Thank you.
You have my deepest sympathy Spencer...![]()
You have my sincere condolences.
So sorry for your loss Spenser.
Saturday is the funeral I have to attend. Our support teams cookie lady's son killed himself. So this is gonna be a hard one. Her mom passed about 3 weeks before this happened. So she's been a real emotional mess. The doctor finally gave her something to help her sleep since she wasn't.
Oh man Starry. I'm so sorry to hear this. Poor lady. I'll be praying for her. Funeral was today. I was really concerned about my young daughter as this was her nana but she did good. Now I have another funeral tomorrow for a dear friend. I wish I could just got to a cabin for a few days with no phones, tv or anything. Just quiet. But oh well.
Got through all the bad stuff this week and now looking for a better week this week. I hope all are doing well.
Well the rains from Harvey are heading my way. Supposed to be here tomorrow sometime so doing what I can at the office and then tomorrow I will work out of the house....
Hope everyone else is doing well.
I live in Houston. Harvey was here. My house is ok, but the city is a wreck. If they tell you to evacuate, go.
Spenser...I found this poem shortly after my Mother passed away and it was so applicable for me. I hope you will think so as well...
The Broken Chain
We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

So much sorrow, hardship, and bad weather. Haven't even had time for a senior moment. I've been noticing my wife's short term dementia is popping up more often. Yet it's just what's happening now and five minutes ago she's forgetting.
My problem is I remember too much too often. Sleeping is a problem. I lay awake worrying about our health, Texas, our grown kids, their kids, and just kids.
Even kids have senior moments so do the best you can. Be ready to stick your head in the sand when the next bomb lands.
