They aren't pulling down monuments celebrating the subjection of the native population...
And she is old and rumored to be of the female sex, but I think she is probably gender confused just as she is confused enough to identify as native.

Like the Gups, the Dums have never been a monolithic group, only a patchwork of factions, mostly barely tolerating each other. Both wings of the DemoGop duopoly host corporate / globalist, nativist / identity, religious / social, futurist / environmental, and other ideological factions. Gups have been civil-warring for decades now. Dums are catching up.
What *is*: Both wings of the DemoGop duopoly possess vast infrastructures -- offices, incumbents, local committees and clubs, fund-raising specialists, volunteers, databases, consultants, and money. No matter what happens to the parties (incorporated as private firms in Delaware) they'll hang on to their goodies.
What *could be*: The duopoly could realign into globalist vs localist wings -- but I doubt it. As long as money is speech, corporate cash will dominate USA politics. Gups and Dums could both shatter as parties -- but I doubt it. Insiders ain't gonna let go. Or the parties could purge their extreme factions. Yeah sure.
Of course all this is moot if Tromp starts a war anytime soon.

Projecting strength and resolve prevents war.
Don't assume the latter means that there is a desire for war.
Also keep in mind, that when the Democrats held the Administration, they instigated several wars in the Middle east.
You see, they really gave fuck-all about business and the economy and there is a large segment of the Democrat Party that is openly hostile to business.

The majority of both could combine to be the Corporate Party. This would include the Clinton wing of the Dems, as well as all but the TEA Party wing of the Pubs.
The populist groups who were pissed off at Washington, but know that the secret to fixing the problems that we got by following Reagan's voodoo economic ideas for thirty five years IS NOT to follow Reagan's voodoo economic idea some more, can generally form a Progressive Party.
There are definitely fewer politicians who would be in the Progressive Party at first. But I'll guarantee that party would get the most votes.
