Ensconced in Teh St000pid.

So, when I called Mom to wish her a Happy Nagasaki Day last week, she gets it. She remembers. She's unreconstructed and still at war with the Yahpahnese. Frankly, I think it's funny.

My son still tells the story of when the Japs butted in line on them in St. Petersburg (Russia, not Florida), and she lit into them like Puller on a beachhead. He was amused also.

But I don't drive my Mopars into crowds of people who should have stayed home and watched Teh Other St000pid on TV.

Re: The infamous M1 "ping"

I have called bullshit for years, but a bit more research has been done, and:

An article by a Chief Warrant Officer 5 Charles D. Petrie after he reportedly spoke to German veterans of D-Day who found the idea of attacking after a ping laughable. They reported that, in most engagements, they couldn’t hear the ping at all, and the rest of the time they were too aware of the rest of the American squad to try to take advantage of it.

Ping that, motherfuckers.

At least she's up bright-n-early.

Even if it won't be bright for another hour and a half, anyway.

It's cloudy here. Rained last night.

I'm debating if I want to go through this bike and redo all the fluids or take the mechanic's word for it. He seems okay, so . . . I don't know.

I'd look at everything that was practical to inspect just to know in my own head how everything is. At least you have a mental starting point to reference from in the event something goes wrong.

I am glad you weren't hurt at your rally yesterday, vetteman. It's too bad the media caused the republicans to turn into murdering savages.

Never believed that wives tale. In a fire fight, most of their ears would be ringing in the first place and in the second place would probably at some point in their careers develop hearing loss or tinnitus because of it. Today it is a major concern in today's military and developments such as TCAPS (Tactical Communication and Protective Systems) are coming on line for today's soldiers that protect their hearing but allows the detection of important sounds, much like the electronic earhones we use at the range today only better.

Well, we solved the gasoline question earlier this afternoon. It has plenty.

This is the first high-test burning engine that I've had in a long time. Ninety-one octane or better. I gave it 93.

I have a Sunoco a couple of miles from the house. I have flashbacks to the old dial-a-pumps they had, and with 260 on the menu, how the old premium guzzlers loved a snort of that stuff.

Sure is a torque-monster . . . .

Maybe an octane booster might be economical.

Yes. She has one. It's noticable, really.

I want more weekend :( this one was over too fast

I needed to have gotten more done. I need a dry weekend. Seriously.

Allah, get busy on that, Old Boy. Bitch

Regular was $2.11 at the Sunoco. Premium was $2.71. It took $4.70 to top it off. I doubt that'd at that price it'd be $11 to fill it from bone dry.

I'll watch a MLB game or two if TIMMAH! Tebow ever makes it into the majors.

Other than that, it's just hanging on for March Madness.
