As reported by the Washington Post, and relayed via CNN:

Report: North Korea now making missile-ready nuclear weapons

Washington (CNN) - North Korea has taken a major step forward in realizing its goal of becoming a nuclear power, according to a Washington Post report on a confidential US intelligence assessment that concludes Pyongyang has developed a nuclear warhead capable of fitting inside its missiles.

The Washington Post first reported details of the assessment on Tuesday just hours after North Korea threatened 'physical action' in response to punitive sanctions unanimously passed by the United Nations Security Council over the weekend.

"The IC [intelligence community] assesses North Korea has produced nuclear weapons for ballistic missile delivery, to include delivery by ICBM-class missiles," the assessment states, in an excerpt read to The Washington Post.

Regime change would be messy, no doubt, though perhaps not as messy as typically portrayed. Are we at the point where all reasonable options are messy, for different types of messy?

I think Trump should copy the Obama approach and just ignore the situation.

Well, regardless of the administration, US policy doesn't seem to have hindered North Korean weapons development to any significant degree. One strategist I've read has concluded we'll just have to learn to live in a world where NK has nukes.

Don't worry, your leader has a plan,
A great plan,
A great sparkling plan,
A great sparkling gold plated plan,
A great sparkling gold plated plan that will have all this resolved in a month.

Just like the other plan he's not going to tell anyone about it though, even the military.......just like the last plan!

Why worry.

Woof!

Now that ISIS is totally defeated, trump can focus all his attention on NK.

Luckily we don't have someone with their finger on the button that is not only a prolific liar but one that can't remember much of what he says, acts extremely unstable as well as shows signs of dementia..

Oh wait..

But hey, we dodged that email bullet now didn't we.

Nancy Reagan's astrologer would know what to do!

It's amazing how they built everything from scratch during the Obama years, isn't it?

PS
You are a moron.

Who suggested they built everything, or anything, from scratch during the Obama years? Obama did nothing to keep North Korea from where it is now.
You knew that, though, so you resorted to name-calling.

He did what any president could do, sanctions, freeze american money going there. Let's see what the "fire and fury" rhetoric accomplishes. Kim was looking for a fellow psychopath to play his games with, and he found a man baby with a twitter account.
I heard Iraq may have some leftover WMDs as well...

In a sane world, we would be happy for the DPRK achieving this success. If one country can have nuclear deterrence, all countries have an equal moral right to the same weapons.

Instead, of course, we get discrimination and bullying and possible war against a little country that just wants the right to defend its sovereignty.

Have you considered moving to Guam?

Who expects Kim to actually provoke a retaliation turning DPRK into radioactive glass?

I do believe the North Koreans are interested in self-preservation. But one worry is the nuclear brinksmanship will lead to a critical error. And another worry is Trump will decide regime change is politically advantageous.

North Korea is nothing without China. Nobody there eats anything other than rat meat without China.

Eventually China will realize it is not in ITS best interest for North Korea to destabilize the Pacific Rim. That's why they supported sanctions in the Security Council.

Look for more to come when push ultimately comes to shove.

So China turns on N Korea and Kim Jong Un says fuck it we are really alone in the world - shoot the nukes.
