Honest. Really. It will happen.
And when that day comes...you may well be inclined to pay some of this forward.

What cascadiabound said. I would say that you can have stability in spite of the crazy going on around you though. Life can change in an instant. I'm better at dealing with that now. I have to very careful to get enough alone time and rest thigh. Very very very careful. I still make big mistakes. We all do though.

Exactly two months ago today was the last day I was happy. It was, coincidentally, also the last time I saw him. The following day, everything started rolling irrevocably downhill, and I've been drinking ever since.

It's so hard for me not to contact him. I'm not going to. I promise. It's a pride thing at this point. But sometimes I think I'm going to climb the walls if I don't talk to him. It's so fucking hard.

I know it's pathetic, but if he came back right now, I'd take him. He won't, I know, so it's a moot point. But God, I wish he would.

I doubt that. Given the people I see here who seem to care for you a lot. I know some of them pretty well, and others by reputation. There is no way that you are anything other than a good person.

Hey, everyone. Sorry I haven't checked in, but I haven't had much to say. I'm still hanging on, and it still sucks.

It's difficult enough coping with change as we grow in established relationships. I am sort of wondering how much incompatibility people consider compromisable, surmountable?

In my opinion, I'd say that anytime the incompatibility starts changing how you feel about the other person for the worse, it's a problem. Anything else is probably compromisable if both parties are willing.
