Pure Repeal!
No replace, included.
Mitch McConnell Goes Nuclear on Health Care
Republican Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, has signaled that he will call for a vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act outright, with no replacement legislation.
A full repeal of the Affordable Care Act would require 60 votes and thus Democratic support, but through budget reconciliation, the G.O.P. could effectively dismantle Obamacare with a single party-line vote.
Straight repeal would increase the number of people without insurance to some 32 million over the next decade, according to the C.B.O. Coupled with a historically unpopular president in the White House, the prospect of stripping health-care coverage from millions and throwing the insurance markets into chaos would be political suicide for Republicans.

The proposition is largely symbolic: Republicans only supported the full repeal measure in 2015 because they were assured that their effort would be stymied by President Barack Obama’s veto. Now, with “clean repeal” predicted to increase the number of people without insurance by some 32 million over the next decade, the bill is almost certainly dead on arrival.

Getting rid of Obamacare without any replacement policy would be an utter disaster that would instantly wreck the insurance market. Republicans are using a procedure called budget reconciliation that would allow them to avoid a filibuster and pass the bill with just 50 votes in the Senate. But the reconciliation process comes with a set of byzantine rules that limits what can actually be included in the legislation.

The new plan to intentionally sabotage the health care law marked an abrupt shift from Trump’s suggestion on Monday to repeal the health care law without a replacement plan.

President Trump on Tuesday called on the Senate to end the legislative filibuster after the collapse of the Republican healthcare plan.
“The Senate must go to a 51 vote majority instead of current 60 votes. Even parts of full Repeal need 60. 8 Dems control Senate. Crazy!” Trump tweeted.
Getting rid of the filibuster, however, would not have guaranteed the success of the GOP plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare. The Senate considered the measure under budget reconciliation rules, which only required a 51-vote majority to pass.

Trump Might, Perhaps, May Go Nuclear on Health Care
"Donald Trump holds a fuse in his hands — and he could decide to light it and blow up Obamacare insurance markets as soon as Thursday."
"That’s the deadline for sending out the next monthly Affordable Care Act subsidies to health plans to defray the cost of care for individuals with low incomes."
One person who spoke to Trump earlier this week said he was determined that — no matter what happens — his administration won’t be blamed for the failure of Obamacare. “I don’t think he realizes that he will be blamed for this,” this person said. “It could be a bad move.”

Sen. Dick Durbin noted the Republicans control the House, Senate and the White House.
"They seem to have this notion that they can be a majority party, and have control of the White House, and not be responsible for bringing down the health care system,” the Illinois Democrat said. “It doesn’t work that way.”

Blame game!
(The Republican women voted with their cunts ? The Republican men that were left out of the decision process, made their own decisions...)
Meanwhile, many senators are annoyed with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for the rushed, secretive process that produced the health-care bill, and for threatening to cancel their August vacation for a potentially fruitless legislative session. And everyone is annoyed with the House Freedom Caucus, which has also demanded that lawmakers spend next month in D.C.
House Republican staffer described the fractious mood on Capitol Hill as “Republican-on-Republican violence.”

DAVIS: You know, there are put up or shut up moments in life, Audie, and this is one for the United States Senate and Republicans in the Senate. McConnell is essentially asking Republicans to vote for something they've already voted for. This is a rehash of a 2015 vote in which every Republican senator except one - Susan Collins of Maine - voted to essentially repeal all of Obamacare and didn't offer much to replace it with. And one advocate of this strategy is Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. And this is what he had to say today.
(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING)
RAND PAUL: If you voted for it a year and a half ago, you got a lot of explaining to do when you go home if you're going to vote differently this time. We ran four elections on repealing Obamacare. I think we can repeal Obamacare. It's not even a complete repeal. It's a partial repeal. So I think, yes, if you voted for it in 2015, you should vote for it again.

Republicans have had to confront the anti-government derangement that animates the party’s right wing—while so-called moderates and even some conservatives come to terms with the ways that their constituents increasingly rely on government assistance, especially the ACA, and don’t want any part of House Speaker Paul Ryan’s fantasies of a world without Medicaid.
With the “help” of Senator Ted Cruz—widely considered the least popular man in his caucus—McConnell tried to sell the bill as all things to all GOP senators, and he got caught.
